We visited the Heights for the expressed purpose of seeing and hearing the theater pipe organ. It is a beautifully renovated little neighborhood theater. The organ sounds fantastic.

I grew up going to the Heights Theater. I went downhill over time with sticky floors, broken seats, and overall out-dated decor. But it's been restored! The outside is beautiful compared to the robin-egg blue that used to be painted on it. There's now a pipe organ and chandeliers, new carpet, and other renovations. I believe the owner/s of the DQ now own it.

We go here to see White Christmas in December, which is always a fun time. The theater is reasonably priced, and has concessions. Before the show, we were treated to organ music and a vocalist singing Christmas songs. The seats have been replaced and are now comfy padded chairs, rather than the old hardback seats. Go to their website to see what's playing, as they play some new movies but mostly older ones, which is awesome.

Although the Heights was restored a number of years ago, the owner recently upgraded the seats. So now it is both an incredibly beautiful and incredibly comfy place to take in a classic or first-run movie. Real butter on the popcorn tops off a fun experience.

Not only is the decor completely redone in its original form, they play classic movies as well as current releases. Plus, there is music on the Wurlitzer Organ before the weekend shows!

At last we got to visit to see Dixie dregs band. Great venue really nice feel. Nice bar with nibbles . Eat across the road at Harold’s and enjoy their happy hour. We will return

Attending the World Premier of Demon with the Atomic Brain, I visited the Heights Theater for the first time. This truly IS the heights, and you can see far distant horizons from the sidewalk. The marquee is the old style with movable letters, and the gilt decor of the exterior is amplified inside. The popcorn is buttered, not coated with fake flavoring, the seats are comfortable, the room spacious. There is lovely pipe-organ and fabulous decoration everywhere I looked. If you would like to experience a film as I did when I was a kid in small town Wisconsin, raise your eyes to the Heights!

When the Heights presents a special showing of a White Christmas or Wizard of Oz, go! It is fun, the organ music is great. And they have the best popcorn! You won't be disappointed.

Oldest continuously operating movie house in the state. Restored and very nostalgic. A couple of nights a week they run classic movies on their big screen. Many I've never seen or only saw on TV. Much more fun in person because of the audience reaction. Order tickets ($8 to $10) online and get there a half hour early for best seating and to be treated to the sounds of their mighty Wurlitzer pipe organ that raises out of the stage. Very colorful and well plaid. The organ alone is worth the admission price, and I'm not an organ guy.

Can't say enough about this theatre. The popcorn has real butter, they play a pipe organ before the feature and the interior is beautifully restored. You just have to stop in for a movie to appreciate this place. You can end the show with an ice cream cone from the retro DQ next door and sit in the courtyard. My favorite summer date night venue!
