Took a bike ride over to this place in Marcell from our cabin...Had never stopped by here before...I was surprised at how interesting it was with tons of educational items concerning this area..Will 100% be stopping back up with our grandkids...so much cool stuff

The Diacovery Center is a great place to take the grandchildren to learn about the outdoors and wildlife. Nice displays.

Stopped in to get some hiking and fishing information. They have many descriptions of things to do in the area. Very helpful place if looking for information.

Great center to explore different types of animals in the area as well as plants, etc. the help are very friendly and helpful with information. Gift shop is fantastic to get just the right gift for that special someone. They have great day programs for youngsters which comes in handy if you are trying to find something for the visiting grandchildren to do!

Displays a recurrent and very well organized. They have a lot of programs for kids which is helpful if you re looking for entertainment. The gift shop has quite a nice selection of gifts or souvenirs. Some are even from local artists.

We were driving along the Edge of the Wilderness State Scenic Byway when we came across the Discovery Centre. Not only was the centre an interesting and welcoming place but we learned about a 17.5 mile self-guided auto tour starting just up the road. It took us through the forest, sometimes on unpaved roads but always with wonderful views. The leaflet we picked up at the centre gave us lots of information and every so often there was a marker by the side of the road that matched the information in the leaflet. This was an unexpected and enjoyable side trip on our journey.
