We stumbled onto this place on my last trip to Minneapolis. The people were incredibly friendly. The food was exceptional. Highly recommend the curry dishes - yes at an Irish pub. Kids meal came with crayons and a cookie and the pot roast was fine perfectly. Well worth a visit or two!

I work a lot in MSP. Thought I had tried them all. One of my coworkers suggested I go here. The atmosphere is fantastic. Ask for Betzy. This girl is a gem of a waitress. Funny. Personable. Fantastic service. I made a flat bread appetizer with wild mushrooms my meal. Had a great sauce too. The tomato soup is epic. The Guinness flows on tap and they know how to pour it.
Britts pub used to be my go to. This place challenges it and perhaps an extra half star!

The Local used to have excellent food. Obviously they have a new chef. The corned beef was dry and tough. The Chicken Curry wasn't even close to what it used to be.
Such a shame. We always looked forward to the great food. Won't go back.

This was a great pub with great food and great atmosphere. People were asking if this would be a good Irish pub and indeed it would be. Met the owner who was so nice and welcoming.

This pub is a little bit of Ireland in America. Typical irish fare to choose from. Our food came to the table quite quickly. Loved the chicken pie. The waitress was very helpful and helped us choose fantastic dishes. I must admit she made our dining experience so much more enjoyable.If you like cheaper irish food I'd recommend this pub in Nicollet Mall. Outside and inside eating.

The Local is an Irish bar, but we came for a late dinner, not drinks. I had the meatloaf sandwich on crunchy bread, which was very tasty. I saved half of it for breakfast the next day in the hotel. We were impressed to hear that the staff gets health insurance. (This came up because of a surcharge on the bill which helps pay for it. You don't have to pay it, according to our waitress, but we were happy to do it.)

Lunch with a group of 8. Variety of dishes ordered. Most were okay, nothing off the chain. Service was a little slow with a low crowd. I would be concerned at the evening time if on a time limit.
Good cocktails. Indoor bar is something you want to see. It is beautiful!

Had a business dinner in a small private dinner area I think called the Boardroom. Our host purchased 2 sets of 4 appetizers (for only 11 of us) and we ate almost all of it, it was so tasty. The chicken shots were unique, really crispy. Also loved my dinner, the pot roast, and refreshing drink, the Big Ginger. A little loud but nice spot for a business dinner.

Fun and beautiful place to stop for a beer. They have a kissing room here- with a couch and chair and red lights. Been here before, but wonder if anyone really uses it? Too funny! Our waitress was good- albeit a bit slow. There was no room at the bar, so we sat at a little table. We had dinner plans elsewhere for this evening. Good beer, and we would recommend stopping for an Irish beer.

Visiting Minneapolis on a very cold weekend, walking Nicollet Mall, needed to get in out of the cold. Came across this place, looked nice, great bar, great drinks, great staff. Definitely recommend.
