I've only ice-skated a few times, so I was a bit hesitant. No need to be! They helped me choose a well-fitting pair of rental skates (only hockey skate for rent). The outdoor Oval is huge and has nice, thick buffers on the railings for those of us that need a little help stopping. The other skaters were very considerate and followed the rules that fast skaters stick to the inside and slower skaters get to be near those railings! It's seasonal, though, so check times and dates.

I had never been skating here before. I took my grandson and we rented skates and we had a really fun time! It helped that it was a beautiful sunny Day! Great thing to do with family.

My niece had a skating party and everyone had fun the price is reasonable and tons of place to skate for all levels of experience. The staff is very friendly and helpful as well.

Outdoor ice skating at its finest. Hockey in the middle and skating around the outside. skate sharpening on site. concessions on site. nice big warming area. Sometimes they have events with a bonfire right on the ice!

Not just for skating and hockey! Awesome bad weather venue for walkers. It's really inspirational to see the team photos of all the Roseville boys' and girls' hockey teams. (Plus Kellogg and Alexander Ramsey.)

How many out there have had the pleasure of skating on one of the largest sheets of outdoor ice in North America? If you visit Roseville, MN this winter you can take advantage of incredibly reasonable skating prices for the whole family! PLUS OVALumination runs from November - January every season. That is the annual holiday light festival that feature over 100 arborviate and evergreen trees ranging in height from 15 - 50 feet decorated with over 67,000 (in 2014) multi colored LED lights. The cool thing about the event is that the lights are free! Anyone can drive by or drive in, park for free and check them out. That's awesome but the MAGICAL part comes when you bring or rent skates, pay a small fee to skate and head out. It is simply magical to be skating outside, under the glow of thousand of lights while snow gently falls and holiday music plays over the speaker system. If that doesn't put you in the holiday spirit not much else will!
