If you enjoy a step back in time, Historic Mounds Theatre does the trick. Renovated to preserve the Art Deco environs, it's comfortable, inviting and has surprisingly decent acoustics. The pricing on concessions also reasonable and service is friendly. Highly recommended for any theatre/musical performance.

I did a night ghost tour of the theatre in the lead-up to Halloween in October. It's a lovely old theatre and the tour was OK. The guide was knowledgeable but a little unprofessional. Still an interesting tour nonetheless :)

I was so SO excited to go to the 1 hour Haunted Tour tonight at this theater. I had always heard the theater was haunted. I went to the Wabasha Street Caves last weekend and it was superb but I thought this tour would be so much better. Boy, was I wrong. **The Wabasha Street Caves Haunted Tour was half the price and extraordinary!!! - a MUST SEE**
I felt this was a waste of my money and time. I invited 2 friends and they agreed. The woman who gave the tour talked too much. We visited 2 rooms - the theater and the projector room. No paranormal activity was seen or heard. The people directing the tour did not provide enough light for the stairs and my friend almost fell down the stairs.
We were unable to take photos, only when the tour lady said we could which was one time. We stood in 2 rooms in addition to the lobby of the theater without moving, which was hard on our feet and backs.
The 1 hour tour was spend with our guide talking the majority of the time (95%) - she even made a comment that she was talking too much, as she always does.
Extremely disappointing, will not return.

The theatre has so many fun and interesting events going on there all the time from plays to expos and wrestling to charity events. I love the paranormal aspect and how community related they are. It is such a unique and beautiful venue

Mounds Theatre is totally a fun place for a unique date night. Their ghost tour is very fun and different. It's an old, historical building and it's a very cool place to visit. We also went to a burlesque show here and, let me just say, I had an absolute blast! It was a very memorable evening and really a unique show. Visit Mounds Theatre for a different type of night out. Remember - they are a non-profit, so the tickets they sell to their shows helps them to keep this historic building open.
