Visited on Thursday 18th November. We wanted somewhere different to go for a walk so headed to Currimundi Lake, easy parking and good walking track to get some exercise.

Visited on Tuesday 7th July. Good to see people back enjoying the lake. Great to use your kayak or do some fishing from the bridge or just cycle or walk around on the many tracks there.

I used to do the Heath Circuit and beach access walk through Kathleen MacArthur conservation park with my grandparents a lot as a kid and coming back always brings back special memories. They are short & easy walks and the views over Currimundi Lake are beautiful. You can go swimming if you’re up for it when you get to the beach at the end of the track. It’s a lively place and there always lots of water activities going in on the lake. They day I visited recently there was some action with police looking for a person of interest as I was heading down the track so a memorable walk indeed.

The lake area is a great spot to kayak or picnic or lie on the beach . There is a large grassed area that is perfect for weddings or picnics and also lots of flat shallow water for small children to have fun with. There are Cafe’s and toilets, and BBQs the surf break is good too just over the dune a short stroll away.

Came to lake today so kids could swim. Unfortunately no swimming at the moment due to sewage pollution

Parking available at Crummunda Park on the Coongarra Esplanade. Lovely walk via the Health Circuit Track to access the beach and Currimundi Lake entrance.

We have found Currimundi Lake wonderful for younger children. It is a very beautiful beach and the Lake provides a safer option than the often wild surf for families with little children. Our smaller family members love rolling about in the many small puddles which stay warmer and the older ones go surfing in the nearby sea. There is a LifeSavers Station surf front and patrols, flags and Rescue vehicles.
It is always very popular and busy but quite a large car parking area and 2 local shops for meals, coffees and gelatos.
The Children’s Playground was a big hit and there are Public Amenities. There are a lot of shaded and beautiful lawned areas and picnic tables and benches. It is Dogs Prohibited and we commend the local Council for the family friendly changes we notice here. It is very well done.

Visited on Tuesday 13th August. What a great spot to enjoy the sunshine on a winters day, plenty to see and do or just sit and relax and watch the world go by.

Currimundi Lake is situated at Currimundi. It is beautiful & relaxing. A quieter beach 🏖 with a few coffee shops.

A very pleasant and safe beach. Swimming or just playing on the sand provides hours of fun for the children.

It just depends where you want to stop, should be able to park but it can be busy at times.

Any idea how would the lake be close to Christmas time?
Just want to be sure that we dont find a dry patch when we get there.

Hi, we were there in the winter so not at all sure re your question.
Search for an info (I-Centre) and ask them, maybe try Currimundi I-Centre or one for the Sunshine Coast.

Are dogs on a leash allowed?

There are lots of areas for dogs at Currimundi Beach, with all pathways being available, plus there is an extensive 'off leash area' from beach entry 249 to 253, which is approx 100m south of the Lifesaving tower.
The main area dogs are not allowed is the large flat sand area in front of the beach showers beside the carparking. This is clearly marked on Council signs at this location.
