‪Great American college town. Easy to walk. Maybe 1-2 miles to various locations. Plenty of up-scale shopping and restaurants in Oxford.‬

‪A beautiful campus rich with history is just a bit of what Ole Miss offers. Whether you’re there for school, for a ballgame, or just strolling and admiring the magnolia trees in bloom, this is a college worth visiting!‬

‪Ole Miss is a typical southern university worthy of its SEC affiliation. Their footfall stadium is huge since all SEC schools seem to be obsessed with football. When we visited all of the Magnolia trees on campus were in bloom which really add to the attractiveness of the campus.‬

‪Picture perfect scenery. You have to see it to believe it. Same with Oxford, MS. Restaurants and Bars and Shopping.
Ole Miss has a The Grove. Trees and grass for picnics during Football season. Worth a weekend or a week. ‬

‪My wife and I have visited several university campuses, from Champaign-Urbana to Madison to Lafayette to Bloomington to South Bend to Ann Arbor to Atlanta to Colorado Springs to Gainesville to Knoxville to Athens to Charlottesville, even Willliam & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. But I think the University of Mississippi's campus at Oxford is my favorite. Ole Miss. The Lyceum. The Grove. Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. The Confederate Cemetery. Archie and Eli Manning. Mary Ann Mobley and Lynda Lee Mead. James Meredith. America's most beautiful campus. We have visited the campus on three occasions, once for an Alabama/Ole Miss football game, and never cease to be awestruck by the beautiful surroundings, the friendly people and the historic Oxford Square nearby. Established in 1848, Ole Miss is a relatively small school in a relatively small town. Ole Miss has almost as many students (24,000) as Oxford's population (27,000). It is mostly known as the home of two successive Miss Americas, Mary Ann Mobley and Lynda Lee Mead, two Chi Omega sorority sisters who won in 1959 and 1960; the site of riots during the civil rights movement in 1962 following the attempted admission of James Meredith as the first African-American student to the segregated campus; the school that Archie Manning made famous; and USA Today's choice as the "most beautiful college campus" in the United States in 2016. But there is so much more. There is the Lyceum, the administration building that was built in 1846-1848 and is the only original building remaining on the campus; the Grove, the beautiful leafy space in front of the Lyceum that has been a tradition since the 1980s, the site of the "world's greatest tailgating party" before Ole Miss football games; one of the country's most distinguished Greek systems with 11 sororities and 14 fraternities; 18 buildings that were built between 1929-1930 and designed in the Georgian Revival architectural style; home of one of the largest blues music archives in the United States, including BB King's personal record collection and the first-ever commercial blues recording, a song called "Crazy Blues" recorded by Mamie Smith in 1920; the Chronicle of Higher Education's choice for the past 10 years as one of the "Great Colleges To Work For;" one of the safest campuses in the nation; and the Confederate Cemetery near Tad Smith Coliseum and Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. While you are driving leisurely through the campus, be sure to stop to see the James Meredith statue or Civil Rights Monument between the Lyceum and the J.D. Williams Library and notice the speed limits of 18 and 10 miles per hour, dedicated to former football alumni Archie and Eli Manning and their jersey numbers. You won't find as much history, nostalgia, beauty and charm on any other campus.‬

‪Absolutely beautiful campus filled with the friendliest people in America. Stayed at hotel on the square and walked through campus and attended a couple baseball games over the weekend. Architecture is stunning, landscaping is detailed and everyone I asked for directions were friendly and helpful. ‬

‪My son and I spent a day and a half and Oxford touring the campus. The only reason I rated at a 4 and not a 5 is because we were on our own. He's been accepted to school and we wanted to spend an extra couple days they're just getting a feel for the town and the surrounding areas more than he got during the campus tour. Very Charming campus. If you close your eyes and you picture a small town College this is what you would see. Very compact very close to the downtown Square seemingly you can walk everywhere. About half the size of some of the bigger SEC schools student wise butt feels plenty big. I think the class size is considerably smaller then some of the larger universities which just makes it that much more attractive to me as a parent. Great facilities seems to be a lot of construction and a lot of new things being built. Plus you have the town of Oxford.‬

‪We came to do a campus tour and it did not disappoint. Very pretty campus and more walkable then I expected for a "large" SEC school. ‬

‪My daughter chose this university as her number one choice when she was still in grade school. At the time it was based on pictures she saw.
When it came time to tour colleges, and we toured several, Ole Miss did not disappoint.
The campus is absolutely stunning! Brimming with southern charm.
My daughter fell in love with this school, as did we.
Although far away from her home in Boston, our daughter could not imagine herself at another school.
The city of Oxford is charming as well, yet numerous amenities are still at your fingertips.‬
