I had heard about this location for years so when my wife and I had a chance to pass through I knew we had to stop. I enjoyed the hike. There are sone major up and downs and obstacles, but the falls did not disappoint. It is a hike I would do again. Make sure you have some cash for the honor box.

Great hiking area to see waterfalls that are relatively easy to reach. We saw three waterfalls from the creek bed and were back to car within four hours. Water shoes work well on this trial.

A little hard to find but glad we were persistent. Yes, it really is 13 miles down Pinckney Ln. Call or check website for when it is open. There’s a $4 fee on the honor system. Put your money in an envelope and put in available box and rip off the parking tag and put in your car. My husband stayed behind while I hiked and said ranger did come by and check the vehicles. I loved this hike and was able to make it to the 1st 2 waterfalls due to limited time. The hike is very steep at times. At one point I commented to others, “ I may need to get a running start to get up that hill”. It’s a beautiful nature area though and I’m so glad I made the effort. Restrooms are on site.

If your a hiker that enjoys a good bit of up and down treking, you should enjoy this trail. Trail is wide and graveled for the most part. Markers on the trail are old and mostly unreadable. There is supposed to be a few record trees on the route, but there's nothing on the trail that says "here you are" so finding them could be difficult. The trail passes along and over lots of ridges, so be prepared for somewhat steep going uphill and down in most places on it. Wooden stairs are provided in some spots. There's a primitive trail within the area that has no such amenity for the truly hardy. I'm 62 and didn't really have trouble with the trail but it's not the kind of hiking trail I would necessarily recommend for older folks. Younger folks have no trouble with it at all. The falls are meager really but the settings are nice and worth the walk for the most part. Wear good hiking shoes that you don't mind maybe getting a little wet, as you'll have to follow stream beds to some of the falls. Bring a camera, sunscreen, bug repellent, water, snax and a hiking stick is a great idea. You'll use it.

An off the beaten path nature area that is primitive, invigorating, challenging and beautiful! Hiking is not easy by any means but is challenging at an intermediate level. Trails are hilly with washouts, creek crossings and maneuvering over fallen trees across the path. Well marked trails for the most part and the area maps posted along the trails are confusing to read. The falls are small but fun to get to if you are determined. Will come back here as it is a fun place to traverse. 2 hours should do it for a great experience.

Moderate hike for older children and young to middle aged adults. Beautiful waterfalls with full photo opportunity. Hidden gem for south Mississippi!

The nature trail was beautiful. Once we got to the waterfall it was breathtaking. The walk itself is very rugged and strenuous for older people. The teens did not have an issue at all. Wear tennis shoes and bring lots of water. Stay on the trail at all times. $4 per car with 6 people. There are 5 water falls but we only made it to the first. We had no idea that you were suppose to follow the creek to get to the next fall. They should have directions posted to let you know where to go. They were old so you could not read them

This place is just amazing. Only $4 for a parking pass (honor system, no staff to collect). Restrooms are at the beginning of the trail. We hiked for about 3 hours. Each waterfall seemed in the perfect area in time for a break. Plenty of rocks to sit on. Wear shoes that you can HIKE with and plan to get the wet/muddy. We stayed in the creek for most of the hike. Be ready to walk uphill and walk up stairs! A hiking stick is a good idea, I found one on the trail. Bring water and snacks! It is a very primitive trail!

My husband & I decided to do the full loop. I love waterfalls. After seeing the first & back tracking to look at the map & trying to figure out which way to go a young man & his son told us that those maps are awful & not correct. So he gave us some directions. Told us to follow the creek bed. It was very shallow & mainly just in the middle. So once we came to the short stairs to go down & climbed over some big rocks we were off. There is also a lovely waterfall at the bottom of those stairs. Well the creek bed wasn’t quite as easy to maneuver at times, but if a 67 & 58 year old can do it you can too. Thankfully I like to climb 😂 & I have a bad knee, but new steroid shot was working overtime. Anyway it was an adventure. We did have to climb up to take trail a few times as the creek bed was impassable then we’d go back down. It really was easier in some ways & thankfully mostly shaded. We saw 5 waterfalls. Either one was dry or we somehow missed it. He had told us to turn & not to cross the no trespassing sign when we got toward the end as it was private property & to turn right & continue with creek bed to last waterfall. Pass up the stairs & stay straight. Then back track to the stairs to start the trek upwards.... and upwards it was. We spent 2 hours 45 mins traversing through the woods & along the creek & since last waterfall is not considered part of the trail it was right at 4 miles total. Shoes got a little wet from hopping rocks. Make sure to wear a good pair of tennis shoes or hiking shoes. Something that fits well.
Bring/wear BUG spray. Bull knats we’re out in full force. Thankfully our B&B owner sprayed us before we left & we picked up a can too just in case. Bring water as well.
The Simply Soothing big spray (green bottle) she used worked so well & smells good too. So much so that I ordered it on line. My new best friend on vacations.
It’s a tough trail, but doable. It was a beautiful day out as well.

Yes, the day I went people had their dogs. Check days open before going.

Clark's Creek is not suited to a bicycle. You'll understand when you go there.
كُتب بتاريخ 22 مايو 2019
This would be great for a bike. It is definitely not flat, but main trails are wide and easy to navigate. Best trail is the creek itself which is not amenable to riding

Is there room in the parking area for me to park a 28 foot camper while we hike?
كُتب بتاريخ 6 أبريل 2018
If you get there right when it opens there may be. Parking is mostly alongside the road, which is a small two lane road. There are a few places right at the start of the hike but I don't imagine it would be a good place for camper parking.

1) Are the markings easy to see?
2) Do the trails cross/ mix together?
3) What trail is the easiest to go on a rainy day?
4) What happens if you get lost?
كُتب بتاريخ 11 يوليو 2017
1) It depends upon the trail you are hiking. Recently a whole slew of new trail markers was put up on the primitive which makes it easier. Can you still get a bit lost? Absolutely. Also the trailheads for the primitive are not marked anymore. You may need some help finding them.
2) Yep.
3) On a rainy day, or any other day, the creeks are the easiest to hike, just keep an eye out for heavy rain. You don't want to get caught in a flash flood, but even then, it's not like a slot canyon where you can't scramble out. There are always places to scramble out.
4) Normally, if you get lost, you can call someone, but phone signal is unreliable in the park. If you have ATT wait for a high place and you will find you have signal. If you have Verizon there are two or three places you can maybe get signal if you are hiking the primitive. Basically when you are up really, really high, if you are lucky, you will get signal.
The other option is to hold tight. When dusk comes and people are supposed to leave the park, if there is a car left, they will look for you until they find you unless the park manager knows your car is there for a reason (lost your keys, car won't start, someone had to go to the ER etc.). They will not start hunting for you before dusk, to my understanding.
The good thing is that the park is not so big that if you get lost you cannot find your way out eventually. You may be exhausted and bug eaten and sunburned, but the odds are really, really high you will find your way out or that you will hear someone talking and find them and they will point you to the way out.

There is an honor box where you get an envelope to hang on your car. It was $4 or $5 dollars. I remember dropping in a $5 because I didn't have any change.
