I've never been to a Six Flags before, but I've been to Silver Dollar City and Worlds of Fun. I can confidently say that Six Flags of STL was the most underwhelming amusement park I have been to. I thought Worlds of Fun was bad with their wait times, but Six Flags was worse. Wait times were around 1-1.5 hours per ride. Plus the people who buy the different levels of the Flash Pass made it worse. Silver Dollar City usually takes 15-45 minutes per ride, unless it's super busy. The rides themselves looked like they haven't been updated in 10+ years. The Mr. Freeze ride was honestly the best ride, but the outside looked terrible. The fake snow they had around the building had chipping paint and looked like a bad pottery experiment. Also, I knew the food was going to be expensive but this place was crazy expensive. One piece of hard pizza and 2 garlic knots were $17. The knots were good, but nowhere near that price. I would rather have a $10 Domino's Pizza delivered to the parking lot that do that again. I plan on sticking to Silver Dollar City and I can say with 99.9% confidence that I won't be back to Six Flags STL.

I was very disappointed. Many of the rides were closed. I expected some as it clearly said they were seasonally closed. However, many I there were closed too. And the rides that were open had a single attendant working two rides. So after every two cycles, he would leave and go run the other ride. Third made the wait insanely long. For the amount of money, it was not worth it. I expected to spend 4 hours and we couldn’t find anything to do after 2 hours. What a waste!

Not the six flags of yester year. No family rides any longer. No rides for middle aged kids that don't care for roller coasters.

The Six Flags Park was a fun experience for my 2 grandchildren, my daughter, as well as my wife, and I, I recommend Six Flags for family entertainment, in addition, we stayed at the Luxury Villa suites in Eureka, MO, (similar to Extended Stay suites) the cost was more economical and the area was very safe. the furniture was bit worn but the place was very clean and easy to get to, on a scale of 1 to 5 , 5 being I strongly recommend I'd give it a 4.5 stars

Hours are 11-6 for the water park and 11-7 for the theme park. You enter at the same place and the take an immediate right (once through the main entrance ) to get to Hurricane Harbour. I purchased a diamond pass online in advance, my son had a platinum pass. The diamond pass gave us a season unlimited refill cup, preferred parking (one lot closer on a not so busy day) and 20% off an unlimited meal pass (1 time only ..not each day). Food in the park is expensive! I hadn’t planned on getting a meal plan, but we went to get a slice of pizza and it was $15+…so promptly used the promo for the meal plan. We could get a meal or a snack every 90 mins and it included an unlimited refill cup. Not sure if it saved us money …we seemed to eat as soon as we knew we could every 90 mins. Without the plan, we might spent about the same or slightly more..without the limitations of meal plan items or time. We shared one plan.
This was our first time at the park and a I asked a lot of staff members random questions..it was hard to get answers.
The diamond pass incudes 4 skip the lines…not to be confused with the Flash Pass..which there are different levels of and cost extra.
Also don’t pay to rent tubes at Hurricane Harbor. We didn’t and had tubes for anything we needed them for!
My son doesn’t love rides..so we spent most of our time at the water park. He had a lot of fun! We were there on a Monday and Tuesday..and it was not busy at all. It’s an ok way to spend a day…do some research if you want to save money. Have fun!

This park was absolutely terrible.
The first reason for me to never want to return is the fact they are so cheap that they can't even use paper maps. The map is on an App on your phone. It is somewhat hard to see your phone in the bright sun. Also, when the park closed my phone was on 20% considering i had to use it all damn day. Very dumb to not have paper maps for older people to be able to enjoy the park.
Another thing we went to buy some fast past tickets, so we didn't have to stand in hot lines in the scorching sun. When we went to pay and buy them the employees had no idea what they were doing. I have never seen such a lack of work experience at an amusement park in my 30 years of life. The charge ended up not going through and they swore that our account would not be charged. In fact, it was charged twice for 3 fast passes. Still haven't had the money returned back to our account in the price of $120 for one of the charges.
we live 4 hours away in Bloomington, IN and I swear I will never be back and there is more problems than the ones I have listed. Although that would take a lot more explaining how stupid six flag saint louis is sell your tickets and go to king's island or cedar point, it's so much better.

Park is run down and rides are constantly closed. Thunder River hasn’t been open in years. Two newer rides are always closed. They have had the train “being repaired” all season. Park has really gone down hill. It’s apparent that there is no money being reinvested into the park.

We started our day at the theme park, but it was so hot we scrapped that and paid the extra to access the water park. Great decision. We had a ton of fun in the wave pool, lazy river (may be the best one we'veever done), and on the slides. The park was overall clean and well-kept. The lounge chairs had seen some better days but weren't terrible, and that's the only complaint we can find.

Always look forward to going to any six flags park where ever we are in the USA. This one was no different, but sadly my expectations were not met. A Monday in the school holidays I would of thought that all the rides would be busy and the park fully staffed. Sadly that was not the case, far too many attractions closed and only single cars running on all the rides that were open.
Situation not helped by not having an on-line app telling us the wait time for each rides.
The rides we got on were really good, but we didnt get too do as many as we wished for in the day due to line speed and rides not being open.

We had a great visit. Got to ride everything we wanted except Thunder River which was closed. The lines were super short and most rides were walk on. Longest we waited was 30 mins.

I am going to six flags this coming weekend. I am trying to find out what tickets to buy. I won 2 tickets through my job, and for my family to go i will need to buy more tickets for 5 more people. Do you have to buy tickets for haunted houses and all that stuff, or does regular tickets work for everything there? Thank you.

The haunted houses are NOT included. At around dinner time the scary costume actors will appear outside the palace. That is free and fun to see. Shows are included in your admission fee.

Since you can leave the park and return, I would assume you can also leave/return the parking lot. It makes sense. I’ve had good experience the park for answers to questions like this.

We were there in the evening and it was closed. The “meal” was on the menu sign, so it seams like it was part of the meal plan.

I am visiting for a few days in St Louis for the first time for a concert this July and have never been to a Six Flags so we might stop in there for funif the weathers good. I was wondering if you buy one ticket if it is good all day for both of the water slides park and the amusement rides park? Thought maybe we could do a few rides in the morning and then head over to the water park in the afternoon to relax and cool down if its hot.? Is there a wave pool and a lazy river there? Are they close enough together that you could just walk over from one park to the other? Dont know why but I Couldn't really find much detailed info about any of that on the website. Also whats up with all the closed rides I keep reading about here? Still any good ones open? My husband wont go on anything really too scary. No giant coasters cuz he is a bit afraid of heights. Hope theres somethings there he can handle. Again, maybe I'm not looking in the right places but I cant find much info on the Six Flags website. Any tips, info, or advice much appreciated. We only have a few days. Any other must see or must do in St Louis? Thanks

The previous answer gives your great info. In addition, yes there is a wave pool and lazy River at the water park. It is easy to walk from the rides to the water park. There are rides even if you are scared of heights....that said, rides are closed ALL OF THE TIME so your choices will be limited but you will not be able to plan for that really. I know the Thunder Cavern ride is closed for the summer for refurbishment. There was no rehabbing going on the day I was there recently so read thru the lines however you choose. Other rides though are supposedly broken down when they close. It happens a lot!! Also, please do not judge St Louis by it's Six Flags. In my opinion and experience, the park is not kept very well with grass growing high in secondary areas such as in the log flume area, areas of roller coasters, thunder canyon areas, etc. The workers are often rude and would rather not interact with visitors. Rides are shut down and closed for ever reason in the book on a regular. Everything inside the park is expensive. They require you to store purses, bags, water bottles, etc spontaneously (some rides do and some rides don't but) and you have to pay to store your stuff. Sometimes lockers are close to these rides but other times they are not. I hope you enjoy your concert and St Louis. We have other places that are wonderful to visit such as the Zoo, Botanical Gardens, Science Center, Magic House, The Arch, Lone Elk Park, and museums.

From what I heard they are changing the loading platform to make it one that moves with the gondolas. That will make loading/unloading faster in the future.
It likely won't be back up until later in the Summer.
