Lovely setup for all dog sports as well as conformation shows. Great a/c when it’s so hot and humid outside. Very clean. The small cafe makes the best soups and staff are great!

We didn't think there was a whole lot there for the public. You can watch shows if any are going on, they have a tractor pulling a wagon that drives around the grounds but not much to see. There is a barn with a few animals and another building for adoptions. I didn't find a lot online about it and I guess that's because there isn't a whole lot there. It was free. There was a lot of parking. The man at the entrance gate was friendly, as were all employees.

We attended a 2 day CFA cat show here and it was a great place to hold the event. Plenty of space for show cages and rings, nice cafe on site, and easy access with good parking.

The grounds are kept immaculate, and the service very hospitable. I was impressed with the climate being so cool especially during some hot, humid days outside. Very impressive venue!

A bit hard to find the first time as there isn't great signage as you turn off the hwy, but WOW when you get there! The set up is very good with a few glitches I would change if I ran the world. Security is great as there is a guardhouse as you drive up and the guards do stop you and ask questions unlike many who just wave or don't even give you eye contact. Be prepared for many hills and ups and downs so if you need help getting around you need to have a scooter. I don't believe golf carts are allowed. I saw employees with them but not visitors. The inside dog show venue is bright and airy and disinfected every time a show leaves. The outside venues are grassy and have shade covers. The downside is that the herding area is roadside. A bit scary for some dog exhibitors. The food venue is underpar. When you are there for a week you get tired of typical food and there aren't any options except the salad bar which sits out all day if you are on a special diet. That is the only thing that was disappointing. The staff was amazing all around the venue. RV area has no shade and you must bring your own. There are plenty of places to rent an RVs near by. It has odd hook up set ups so bring extra hose and cords. Get a space near the restrooms otherwise it's a long walk! Restaurants and shopping areas are a bit of a drive. All in all it was great and we can't wait to come back and compete again!

nice facility.....poor maps and directions available. esp if you drive a high profile vehicle...the twisty turnt road was unpleasant.

Purina Farms is a lovely and well maintained grounds. We attended a dog show event and found all of Purina services excellent. I would go back to Purina just not ever for the Gateway Cluster as I found Gateway Cluster RV Management extremely poor and beyond rude.
The actions of this club reflects poorly on Purina And unfortunately this affects my rating.
Again Purina grounds is great.

I have to say that I was very impressed with the Purina Farms visitor center. Though I had visited their conference/ event center earlier this year this was my first time at the visitor center. From Frisbee and dock diving dog demos, to cow milking and a fun play area my family had a blast. Great education, very clean facility, and did not cost us a dime. (until we hit the gift shop and lunch) Highly recommend checking this place out. It is not a full day event, but great for a few hours.

We stopped at Purina Farms for a couple of hours to break up a long 9 hour drive from Branson to our home and we were glad we did. Though it was a brutally hot day we enjoyed what the venue had to offer. We missed the Cow Milking demonstration but did get to see the Diving Dog Show and some of the dogs catching frisbees in the agility arena. These animals are owned by the staff and obviously love their play time. There are many farm animals to see and many to handle. You can pet horses, baby pigs, rabbits, and chickens in the barn area. Near the dog show there are dogs, cats, and guinea pigs. The barn area also has cows, donkeys, ducks, goats, and sheep. There is a play area upstairs for the kids to do more hands on things. We took a wagon ride around the large facility too. There is a small snack bar to get some drinks or ice cream to cool off with in the visitors center. We were told there is an events center on the top of the hill where professional competitions are held throughout the year. I would recommend for anyone traveling with children to check this place out if in the area. It takes about 2 hours and you can't beat the price = FREE!

This place is beautiful. They have a variety of things to do. I was there for the Missouri Earth Dome Memorial Day Bash. My dog was able to do the flat racing, hurdle racing, go to ground, thunder tunnel, brush hunt, and lure course. The dog kept me busy. He had a wonderful time. Looking forward to the 3 day even again next year.

There is always a variety of things to do there. There is much to see that children will enjoy. It is a great place for children to learn something. Many teachable moments.

Depends on why your going. If there is events going on and you have a dog I don’t think you’ll be questioned. There really isn’t anything for your dog to do. And it’s hot. But if there’s an inside dog show going on, you could go inside and watch. Other than that keep in mind a lot of dogs come through this place so make sure all shots and flea and tick preventative are used. Also. Flu shot for your do is a must if your going in any closed place with you pet.
I’d leave your pet home in the ac.

there were several school buses there the last time I was there, I think on a week day you would be fine, but on a weekend I wouldn't bet on it, unless you wait until after August 15th when most Missouri kids go back to school.
If you need a place to park overnight this is not the place.

How far is the overflow parking from the main rv parking? I want to park in the main rv area but the event I will be attending is behind the overflow

The overflow lot is right next to the Main Show Field. You can see a map of the property on the Purina Farms website under the "directions and hours" tab. If you are coming from the Purina Event Center RV lot and going to the overlow/Main Show Field, then it is about a 5 minute walk and it's down a steep hill. Going down to the field is fine. Going back up is a little tougher due to the hill. It is definitely walkable.
Can you camp in a tent in the rv area? And can you request to camp next to another person?
