Do some or all of it. Easy access to walkers. National park fees apply if you park in the park. Easy walk.. some stairs. Great views

This is such a beautiful and secluded beach. It is not like anything we have in the States especially in Florida. Walking the cliffs and around the rock formations were an amazing experience. This beach is just a gem. ❤️❤️

We (4 of us) did the Putty Beach to Maitland Bay (and back) stretch on a warm day & thoroughly enjoyed it.
The views are spectacular, the walking trail & boardwalks are in good condition & the 2 beaches, especially Maitland Bay in our opinion provide refreshing pit stops with decent ammenities & car parking at Putty Beach.
Next time we’ll do the other half from McMasters Beach.

Initially we were only going to do the shirt Putty beach to Gerrin point lookout. It is about 1.2 km one way.
Once we got there we pushed on and decided to push on all the way to Macmasters Beach (over 9 km).
The views are spectacular.
The 1st section (putty beach to maitland beach) is easy, and the last section (little beach to Macmasters Beach is easy.
However the mid section (Maitland beach to little beach) is strenuous so be prepared for lots of uphill steps.
It took just under 3 hours and was well worth the effort.
As a tip be sure to have someone to pick you up. You don't want to have to walk back.

We went on the coastal walk which had amazing views, tessellated paving and wildlife. Watch out for the waves if you go to the platform to view the ocean, can sneak up on you. A lot of short groups of steps

A beautiful place to visit on a nice day. Parking can be found at Putty Beach camping ground for $8 if you would like to do the coastal walk.
We only did part of the walk as it goes all the way up to Macmasters beach.
Even so, the short 2 hr walk we did was wonderful with the cliff boardwalk was the highlight. The beaches were not very clean due to the recent rain I presume but still amazing to see the waves crashing into the rock formations.
Safe for kids to walk but do keep watch due to some cliff areas not being fenced off .
Well worth the visit.

Great walk and the scenery was terrific. Not too hard and the paths were in good order. It was winter but we scored the weather of spring and it was warm enough to take off the jacket. Highly recommend.

We had been walking most of the day but saw a sign to Allan Strom Lookout. The car park adjacent to Wards Road is the starting point for two walks. One being the Daley Point Trail and the other the Rocky Point Trail that takes you out to the lookout.
The walk is easy and meanders through the forest and is suited to walking and bike riding. .It is just a short walk off the trail to the magnificent views overlooking Hardy;s Bay, Wagstaffe and further on to Brisbane Waters. Well worth the visit!

This is an amazing area - we did a family walk here in July 2020 ( on a very sunny day ) - came off the ferry from Palm Beach and headed into the park from Wagstaff - round walk to Hardys Bay via the head, about 11km with a few stops. Great coastal views and very well laid tracks .... until you get to the end of the head which is a little trickier. Lunch in Hardy's bay.

We walked from Maitland Bay Beach Information Centre in The Scenic Drive for approx. 100 minutes across to Killcare SLSC.
The first leg to Maitland Bay beach was all down hill. The beach is very private and secluded. We then went back to the track and took the turn off to Bullmah Beach and Putty Beach. The track is in good condition and while there are few uphill stretches it is mostly on flat terrain, Not long before reaching Putty Beach there are great look out to Palm each and down the Northern Beaches Coastline and also into Broken Bay. The walk from Putty Beach is along the sand to Killcare, where a lovely little coffee shop awaits. A lovely walk, Highly recommended

Planning to do the 8km costal walk. Do you know if there's any kind of transport available to take you back to the car park once you finished the 8k?

No, as far as I am aware it is up to each person to sort out their own transport!
