Very peaceful. There are some rocky trails, so you have to watch your step. Some people were just sitting on the rocks enjoying the area. Took some great pictures.

Nice falls. A little tough to find. Yet, once there, was quiet and peaceful - great place to relax. On the smallish side; yet there's not exactly large elevation changes in SW Missouri.

Stopped by to see the falls on our way to Arkansas. A beautiful area where some folks were swimming and others just enjoying the view. Met other folks traveling through. It was a nice break from driving. Nice area for photos. You should stop by!

Nice Falls. Quiet and Peaceful. Hidden away. It’s worth the quick trip. It’s wasn’t an Epic fall though. Small but cute.

We took our toddler here on a nice sunny day and I was stunned by how beautiful it was! People were playing in the water and bringing tubes to float down the river and just having a good time. It was nice to walk around in the water to cool off, definitely recommend for anyone with and without kids!

Supposedly the tallest continuous waterfall in Missouri. Located just off the road, there is a rough parking lot. No safety barriers to prevent bodily harm, you can get as close to the falls as you want. A nice place to hang out for a few minutes and take a few pictures. Recommended

There is a concrete dam just a little upstream. The "falls" were just some water rolling over some rapids. We were not impressed.

Had a tip this place was worth the short trip while staying in Joplin. It proved to be more than we expected. Mesmerizing and relaxing. Easy to maneuver close down to the water. Amazing waterfall!

This was a beautiful location. There is parking along the road a short walk from the falls themselves. I could have spent hours here just listening to the sounds and taking in the view.

Truly the best place to visit in Joplin, MO. You can swim in the spring, summer, and fall and in the winter you can experience relatively warm weather. Pack some hiking boots, flip flops, or a picnic basket! Make sure to bring your camera.

A picture of this waterfall came up when I googled McClelland park. Is this where the falls are located? We are only going to be passing through Joplin and were told Mcclelland park is near the hwy and got excited to see the falls

Yes, take the off-ramp from I-44 at the Seneca exit. Turn left, south, and drive about a block. Take a right and follow the street along a creek. You will cross over if the water isn't high and then take a right. You will see it on your right and can drive right up to the Falls.
Does it cost to spend the day there swimming?

How far a walk is it from the parking lot to the falls?

There is only parking for about 5 cars at the falls. No walking you are right there. Otherwise you will have to park along the street and walk to the falls. Good luck and have fun!
