We have t been to the Plaza for many years and probably won’t return. It’s turned into a playground for teenagers with large packs of teenage kids walking around and crowding the sidewalks. We were shocked how few middle aged and older couples were walking around on a beautiful Spring evening on the Plaza. It seems to have been taken over by kids now.

Altid en fantastisk stemning, med hyggelige butikker. Ligesom dr er flere gode restauranter, bestil gerne bord, så du ikke går forgæves eller må vente. Hvis du vil spise derinde.

Did not know it was restaurant week was presented with menu seemed to be a great opportunity to try certain dishes @ a great value! Arrived @ 7:30 pm without reservations was willing to wait 30 + minutes @ bar ordered a margarita/With patron was told they was out instead of having the bar back go to the cellar for more! Isn't this the famous country club plaza lol! Finally got seated & bar back magically appears with patron in toll to the bar! The manager did comp me a patron margarita after explaining what happened. We decided on the restaurant week menu still no waters or table settings lol was told they was out of mashed potatoes that came with ribeye meatballs on first course & then was told their was a shortage of salmon for the second course & would have to be substituted for halibut fish instead of we could have the salmon from the regular menu @ a higher price! Dining out is like having a fine glass of wine in a water glass instead of a wine glass it ruins the entire experience! The service we received took away from the dining experience & the enjoyment of the food! It was like a starving person seeing everyone around them eating! When the first course arrived not soon after the second course was plopped down after tasting my chicken dish it was over cooked & my dinner companion liked his salmon he had to practically beg for! I'm just wondering what took something that only takes minutes to cook took so long! The waitress seemed oblivious to everything going tips are not automatic she was definitely not working to insure a satisfactory experience!

Probablemente el mejor barrio de Kansas City. Una "pequeña Sevilla" al sur de la ciudad repleta de bares, restaurantes y comercios.

As a child going to the Plaza was a big deal. We always got dressed up. The majority of the stores were high end and locally owned...Hall's and Swanson's were the most memorable. Visiting the Plaza now makes me very sad. Classic Cup and Tivol are the only things left from my childhood. It seems as if over half of the stores are vacant. The ones that are there are all chains. The Plaza has always been top of the list to visit when I travel back to Kansas City. Unfortunately not any longer.

Hi Jamie - We are so sorry to hear about the Plaza making you feel sad when visiting. Although not all the stores have stayed the same since your childhood, we have lots of stores (local and national) that help make our property truly unique. We hope you'll stop by for future visits and check out Made in KC Marketplace or KC Style Haus - just two of our local tenants that shoppers love.

Today I was almost attacked and chased by a homeless woman on Central by the Forever 21 store at about 1 pm. I had to run away and she chased me trying to hit me. I was asked for money from protesters and I didn’t have any and they became angry screaming at me. I was told it was a safe area and this was an awful experience. Im completely shaken and sad.

C'est un centre commercial original. On a aménagé un quartier, où circulent les voitures. Les bâtiments sont beaux. On y trouve toutes les marques des grands magasins, ainsi que les restaurants les plus connus. La place est agréable.

Came for the architecture and did not leave disappointed! It's a lovely open air market / mall with your standard retail shops housed in some beautiful Moorish Revival.

Thought this would be a place for some evening shopping and activity, but they pull in the sidewalks and the place is deserted by 8pm.

This was such an expected NICE place to go. So many restaurants, bars and all those shops along the many streets. Fun, beautiful and for all tastes.

There are so many amazing places in Kansas City. Depending on age, interests, actual amount of time you can spend "touring". Top historic, cultural, whimsical.....
1. World War I Museum is amazing. So much to see & take in that each ticket is for TWO days.
2. Union Station has some excellent exhibits that change.
3. Nelson-Atkins Museum is beyond description, and impossible to see in only 1 day.
4. Arabia Steamboat Museum at the K.C. City Market gives you a glimpse into Civil War time period. After viewing that, the Market itself is a great mix of blended cultures, scents, tastes.
5. Brookside area, just a short drive from Country Club Plaza (about 4 miles) offers an eclectic blend of shops, restaurants, parks.
6. Country Club Plaza is, if you only have 1 day, where I would spend it. The shops, amazing restaurants, nightly entertainment, outdoor areas, magnificent fountains that are tinted with red water Friday evenings when the Chiefs have home games. Just to sit at a corner bistro, sip wine, listen to the street musicians & people watch after a day of exploring. HEAVEN!

The restaurants do. Not sure about the bars. The restaurants we were in all had very friendly family areas in addition to the bar area.

We really liked the Marriott. Great pool indoor and out. Very nice weight room. Great lobby area with tv. Parking.
