Ed is awesome and we caught fish. Ed made sure everyone had a good time and came away smiling. Very fun

I took my son and his friend out with Ed while we were visiting on vacation. Ed is a great guide. He knows the lake extremely well as you'd expect but he was great with the boys and taught them (and me if I'm being honest) a few new tricks. We caught 16 fish and had a great time. I would gladly recommend Ed.

Big Ed was a hoot! He took three of us, my son and two grown fishermen sons. He immediately got us catching some nice bass. The weather was super-hot, but we got our early and avoided the heat. The fish were not active following a full moon and hot waters made them lethargic and slow, but we caught about 20 bass in four hours.... not a really active morning but it was fun anyway.
Ed spent some time removing "casting nests" which is not unusual for me on spinning reels. He told some interesting stories, and he shared a wealth of knowledge about Lake of the Ozarks. His wife runs a cute BNB at their home and is worth looking at if you like to fish and stay close by. Ed has lost a ton of weight and is not particularly spry, but he does drive a cool boat which can really run.

Big Ed was a fantastic guide! My girlfriend and I spent a half day trip with Big Ed and had a great day! We caught a ton of fish, he taught me how to use a baitcaster and fish a Texas rig, and we had a bunch of good laughs and great conversation. Ed was a patient teacher and I highly recommend giving him a shout if you want to get turned on to some great fish at Lake Ozark!

I hadn't fished in 30 years and never bass fished. Ed was kind, informative and very patient. We had a wonderful time. Had I known he and his wife also do a Bed and Breakfast, we would have stayed with him and gone out early. $300 for 3 hours with 2 people and worth every cent.

As a Coast Guard licensed captain and a charter boat owner myself, I cannot more highly recommend Ed Franko of Big Ed’s Guide Service.
Ed is knowledgeable and terrific to spend time on the water with. I also appreciate that he is strictly catch-and-release, which is very important to me. Not only is Ed a funny guy with great stories, he’s a conservationist.
I caught and released close to 50 bass in two half-days’ fishing thanks to Ed’s helpful tips and expert knowledge of the area. He has excellent equipment and a top-of-the-line boat. I look forward to coming back and fishing with Ed again. If you’re looking for a fishing guide on Lake of the Ozarks, you can’t do better than Big Ed.

Ed took our twin 15 year old grandsons fishing this past week. They loved it and Ed was the best. They came home with smiles and telling us all Big Ed taught them. Looking forward to the next time for sure.

Had a great time with Big Ed , we are already planning a trip next year for more time to fish. Great guy had a great time and a lot of fish and laughs.

Went to Lake of the Ozarks with my wife for a couple day vacation and decided to get a guide to learn more about the lake. Big Ed was exactly what I wanted. His knowledge of the lake was great. Showed me different techniques for different locations and explained the reason behind each which was great! We ended up catching more than 30 bass and my first spotted bass!

Caught a lot of fish, way more than expected. Really enjoyed Ed's company. He is very good at what he does. Knows all the best places and how to catch them. Has all the latest technology to help. I will do this again next year.
