We were left wondering why people would love this experience so much after spending so much money on tickets. The cost of the tickets varies GREATLY based on when you buy them and if you buy them online vs in person. The ticket very specifically said that we would have to pay $10 to park (did not say anything about variable rates) but when we arrived they required $15 due to a holiday weekend. So we spent well over $100 on this tour for 2 people.
We are originally from Minnesota. We love to explore nature, and this tour was recommended by a family member- and the reviews were great. But we honestly felt like it was a rip off. We arrived right as they opened (highly recommend so you don’t have a long wait for a cart or on the trail). We did not see much wildlife outside of squirrels. The waterfalls and rock formations were pretty- but you could see those types of things a lot of places for free. I would say the scenic overlook was very pretty. It seemed that a lot of the area was man made.
That being said:
-I wouldn’t recommend this tour for folks just seeking nature views, you can get those for free with a short hike somewhere
-I would recommend this tour for folks who may have a hard time hiking for any reason but would still like to enjoy the scenery as it was quite pretty.

This place was gorgeous for a golf cart ride, plenty of sights to see and picture opportunities. The price is a bit steep for this ride, but overall a good family outing.
They do not allow pets, which was a bummer. I feel there should be an extra insurance charge if you'd like to take your dog on a cart ride as an option!

Super fun, golf cart tour down a meandering path, and through a cave, sculpted and landscaped by the master Johnny Morris! It’s a fun trip for groups of four and definitely worth the price of admission.

Did the Christmas lights tour. We had great weather and it was beautiful. I believe this may have been the first year with lights at Christmas.

This was one of the highlights of our Branson trip. The self-guided golf cart tour of this 2.5 mile trail was a wonderful experience.
The scenery was beautiful, the waterfalls were soothing, the cave was somewhat ethereal, the trail was comfortably winding; and the numerous opportunities to pull over and leisurely explore & enjoy the experience, was greatly appreciated.
The Xmas accents were a nice seasonal addendum to the already engaging natural beauty.
This was yet another reminder that there is much more to the Branson experience, than just music shows and shopping.

We had a Great Experience, we wanted to do the day trail but because of weather it was closed due to ice being on trial. We opted to upgrade to the LOST CANYON CHRISTMAS CART TOUR AT TOP OF THE ROCK. Very cold but good experience for the kids. We however would have liked the day tour because of the scenery and since it was our first experience at Lost Canyon. Great Views during the daytime. The ticket also gives you entry into the museum, hop on the bus from lost canyon and it is a 5 min ride.

The fog lifted the morning we went and the view was amazing. The trees and waterfalls were beautiful. The whole family, including the toddler had a fun time.

2.5 mile trail through nature where you will see waterfalls, rock formations, trees, but suprisingly no animals.

Are there any un-obstructed views of waterfalls, gorges or views over the lake? (meaning no ropes or places you can wander off trail a bit and get a un-obstructed view? Looking for a short hike in the area with un-obstructed views for a portrait photography session

The views are unobstructed but this is definitely not a walking or hiking situation. You can get off a golf cart and stand in front if a waterfall but the elevation is such that walking is mostly prohibited and would be dangerous

We didn"t have a dog. I"m sure you can just call and ask them though.
Are you allowed to take a pet (small dog) on a leash through the trail.

Kids would enjoy a golf cart ride. It is about a 45 minute ride. There are some electronic animal sounds along the way and the place is so beautiful for photo ops :) The cave is dark, but takes less than a few minute to drive thru. You can really share the meaning of nature there.

Can you walk the trail as opposed to riding the golf cart?

They do not allow walking due to the golf cart traffic and while it would be a wonderful walk there are several severe up and down areas that would make it a difficult walk. You can take your time on the carts, there are places to pull over and let other people by and there also is a 'bar' down in the cave for a quick drink.
