4 hands Brewery is a very cool brewery with a large selection of craft beers. We always try and stop in for a couple when we are in town.

Don’t try to order food. You can only order from a QR code and it’s not working. The bartenders don’t care and told me to go somewhere else to eat.

Facility: booming with life, families, parties, couples, & individuals streaming through. Whoever created the space did so to accommodate life. The facility and atmosphere made us wanted to be a part
Staff: the staff was pleasant, able to handle multiple requests from multiple voices. The other thing - the staff was knowledgeable, which is a quality that is so rare.
Beer: the beer was good. It was not great. Ironically, and this is rare, but the best beers of all I tried were the Pilz and Lager. And they were great! Everything else was fine, average. So, if I were to rate this place on the lagered beers, I’d give it a five.

We stopped in for drinks on a Sunday morning. There wasn't much going on that day, so we had a casual drink, played some free games and had a good time. The bartenders all seemed nice and helpful with their recommendations. Worth checking out for sure.

4 Hands has a cool building and indoor seating options with easy free parking in this downtown St Louis location. They make very popular seltzers like bompop and tigers blood that people can’t get enough of. They have a steady carry out business.
The beers are mainly IPAs but I can’t really tell because they only post the names with no explanation. They people behind the bar seem a little irritated if you ask too many questions. They want to serve and move on. They also aren’t helpful on the clean up. They had a lot of people behind the bar in my visit, yet the only attended times one person in line at a time with a lot of avoiding eye contact. It’s a strange attitude among all of them. I wonder if it is part of the training?
The outside spaces lack creativity. Wooden tables on the sidewalk but no service outside. Not even a casual walk through by the servers. The space across the street is in a field with some umbrellas and plastic furniture. Not a great place to sit. It’s as if the customer is lucky to be able to be at 4 Hands.
That may be true for some people - but with over 45 craft breweries in St Louis - there are lots of places to choose. Many of them even act like they want your business.

We came here on one of the stops for our "Missouri Spirits Expedition" and was looking for 1220 Artisan Spirits then realized that they were in the same place. BONUS! Anyhow, we had one of the Lemonade Gin concoctions that was pretty good but need more lemonade flavor in my opinion. We did also come to realize that this was the producer of City Beer which is wholly popular craft beer in the Lou. This place is truly a hidden gem. Would be a cool alternative to going to the baseball stadium or as an after visit. Check this place out,

The brewery had some interesting beer selections, we tried the Mint Chocolate Stout and the Toffee Cookie Crunch. They were good dark beers. The IPAs were nothing special and the selection of beers was limited. Lots of seating upstairs. We ordered poutine, and it was definitely not worth the $. The fries were barely warm, cheese was non-existent and the gravy was actually burnt. Go for some beer, skip the food.

You have to get a reservation to sit outdoors. That seems excessive, since they should be able to manage traffic FCFS and still keep social distancing. Very skimpy selection of beers during COVID-restriction time: no stouts, porters, browns, one IPA. Maybe when things get back to normal...

Went during covid July 2020. Had an outdoor area set up at night under a tent. Beer was good. They did take our temperature beforehand. Nice to have something open during this time.

A little disappointed. First time here (with out of town guests) so purchased a flight of drinks that were "not too hoppy" and asked for the bartenders recommendation. 2/4 of us liked the "Vigilante" and the bartender told us they were out! This is a brewery, right? He later told us we could go next door to a restaurant that may have some... really? We settled on another selection then sat at our table and watched the cook/food worker in the "food window" eat non stop while serving up orders! Glad we had eaten before we came here.
