Hello, I read your review of Flathead Boat Company. We certainly would never cheat anyone out of gas or anything else by overcharging them. Our business is based on honesty and integrity. Cheating people out of fuel or any other items for profit, would not help our business at all. It would have the total opposite effect. I have pulled your form from your rental and do not see where you think we overcharged you. You also conveniently fail to mention that we did in fact subtract your deposit when we rang you up for your final bill. The gal that was working that day is new and when I spotted the error, we did correct it. On your first rental date I actually didn’t charge you for the full days rental of $473, I only charged you $315. It says right on the contract you signed that there is no refund for early returns. But because you were a returning customer I wanted to take care of you. You did not have the same fuel charge for each day. The first date was 23.9 gallons and the second date, after you filled at Big Arm resort was 16.7 gallons. We do not prohibit people from watching the fueling process. If a customer asks to come and watch as their equipment is fueled, they are more than welcome. We do it on the other side of the marina at the request of the marina owner, not because we’re trying to hide anything. The only thing you cannot do is sit inside the boat as it is being fueled, per our insurance company. We are a family owned business and have been renting boats for over 27 years. We pride ourselves in giving the best service possible to customers, many who have been returning to us for boat rentals for over 10 years.
