We had so much fun looking and learning. We saw things we had and things we played with as children. What a great collection of AMERICA! The receptionist was very knowledgeable and very kind! We would recommend to anyone who loves antiques and history!

Wow! You do not expect this place to be as big as it is! There are like 40 buildings!! I’m not a museum enthusiast but I loved this place. Highly recommend! Be sure to go outside!

This is a great, extensive and eclectic collection of history. Something for everyone!Loved hearing some of the background information about the collection from the woman in the front office. Really brought it to life and demonstrated the labor of love the collection is.

What an incredible treasure chest of American history, memorabilia and folk art! The founders and owners, Gil and Joanne Mangles, have done an amazing job curating a collection that spans the years and subjects. You could spend days here and not see it all. So worth it!

I really wanted to love this place. But it really looks like they need to have a good estate sale. Buildings are really junked up and it’s hard to see the true focus. They were having a living history day. The school teacher and flint knapper were the best. Paint and decluttering would go a long way.

Thank goodness we reserved plenty of time on our NW Montana trip for this fascinating assemblage of memorabilia. artifacts, antiques and treasures encompassing acres and acres, indoors and out. Spent 3 hours and could have taken another couple more seeing everything they offer. Many unique examples populate the premises - where else would you see Sno-Cats and ski-cycles from the 50s? Who else has a saddle from Teddy Roosevelt? Have you ever seen a hair-perm machine from the 40s that looks like an electric chair designed by Marquis de Sade? Remember seeing any Studebakers, Crosleys, Renaults and Microcars at your last auto museum visit? Boats, jets, helicopters, trains, tractors, sleds, bikes, motorcycles, diesel steam harvesters, half-tracks, Jeeps and Willys are just some of the machinery located within the complex. Individual schoolrooms, vintage dentist office, pharmacy, soda shoppe, motel rooms, tool sheds, rifle room, machine shop, train office, surveyors shed, radio room, mortar bunker, gas stations, appliance barns, optometrist office, etc, etc, etc. An absolutely astounding collection of stuff (some going to rust and ruin outdoors) to see at Miracle of America - I reckon several tens of millions $ at today's vintage and antique market values. Something for all ages, all passions and all interests in this wonderful collection of arcana - highly recommend setting aside a couple hours to stroll Miracle of America Museum - you will not be underwhelmed - trust me.

Unexpected huge collection, full of history to learn and discover. We planned this as a brief stop on the way to Missoula airport after a week in Glacier National Park. That brief stop became one hour because we had to catch a flight. That one hour barely allowed us to see the entire site. The collection there is probably good to fill 5 different museums!
Don't miss this museum if you are visiting Flathead Lake or Glacier National Park.

This was an unexpected afternoon's entertainment during a rainy day. They have a lot of unique treasures. The backyard was the best part.

Almost drove by without stopping. What a mistake that would have been. We only had about an hour but could have stayed much longer. It was a museum unlike we had ever seen because of the variety and uniqueness. The largest collection of “stuff” we have ever seen. From motorcycles to trapper huts to a train! Was lucky enough to meet the owner on our way out to hear about how it was all collected. Fun!

I have really bad knees but would love to take my grand-daughters here, are there any benches or seats through-out this place especially the outside portions where I could sit for a few minutes to give the old abused knees a rest while walking around this fantastic looking place?

Yes. There are places to sit and rest as you explore the outside exhibits. There are also a couple of places to sit inside. Enjoy!

you have a military boat on a hill top behind a log building could you tell me the story behind it?

Designed by Seattle naval architect L.E. Geary– the Paul Bunyan was built in Somers for the Great Northern Railway, which owned the sawmill there. The 65-foot logging towboat that plied Flathead Lake from 1926 into the late 1940s. The museum the original plans, operations manual, photographs of the boat at work, and more of the giant booms floating outside mills in Somers and Polson, among other memorabilia associated with the Paul Bunyan. I recently watched an episode of a tv series called Painting and Travel with Sarah and Roger Basinger on public tv, and in the background on a hill top is what looks like a military (navy) boat, I wonder if you could tell me the story on that boat.thanks , Gary Ramsbottom, Nelson, BC, Canada.
