You don’t literally go back in time, but you’ll imagine you did. When I bought the tickets, I didn’t realize there were two, two, two shows in one! A play that was just about an hour with a twist we didn’t see coming, and a quick moving vaudeville show. The vaudeville show had so many acts we lost count! If you’re going to go to Virginia City and don’t go, you’re missing out.

A month ago I was there for the first time and I am returning today! So I thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment. There was first a comedy/mystery/drama (The 7 Keys to Baldpate), an intermission then a vaudeville show. I am returning today with friends and family to see The Invisible Man. I highly recommend The Illustrious Virginia City Players.

This is the oldest continuing summer theatre west of the Mississippi and celebrating 70 years of stellar summer theatre. Comedies, dramas and melodrama with a half hour of hilarious variety acts. Make reservations and GO!

You literally walk back in time as you walk down the aisle of this theater. These people put a lot of time and effort into putting on these shows, (we saw Alice in Wonderland). Rows are narrow so make sure you're ready to sit for an hour and a half before getting seated.

The lady at the tourist info desk highly recommended the show, and as I perused down the historic single street town, I mentioned going to the show to a few locals and they all thought it was a great time. They weren't wrong! Highly entertaining, very talented cast and there was even a live "orchestra" which definitely added to the experience. Well worth the price of admission, and you can bring drinks in!

Thoroughly enjoyed the production of Zorro, and loved the vaudeville-inspired acts afterwords. We will be back.

The Players are great fun! A good play, adapted for our Montana stage. The vaudeville is always a good laugh and not-too-adult jokes! We have season tickets and can’t wait to see the next play!

Very nice time. We been going to see them since 2016. The actors do an exceptional (over the top) performances! Everyone gives 110 percent. We love sitting in the front row. Best view in the house watching Robert play! Sad that some of favorite veteren actors and actresses won't be returning, but that won't stop us from seeing future performances. One thing I would like to see is a way to purchase season passes for the upcoming season 2019. My husband will celebrating 10 years of marriage and I would like to surprise him with season tickets at Christmas this year!

when we went they were doing Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. The second half they do some vaudeville style skits. Very enjoyable and creative. we purchased our tickets at the door.

Cinderella: never thought I would go watch a theatre play from this story.
We did with 2other couples.
Costumes are great and actors were very friendly at arrival.
The theatre itself is old and has a great atmosphere. A unique place with pro’s and con’s. Good views, even airco, hard chairs,... it is all part of history.
The play started a bit slow, but gradually, it picked up some speed, fun and laughs. We all know the story but the actors gave it their own “thing”. Good show for all ages.
The 2nd part, after the intermission, is a bit less child friendly, although nothing really vulgar. A lot of singing and for us, at times difficult to understand.
Keep up the good work!!!
