If you want an incredible experience in nature, Cheile Nerei is for sure a must! The area is very green, clean rivers turning into waterfalls here and there, no phone signal...just perfect for a city escape.
When you reach your destination, the colors of the water will mesmerize you and for sure you will put this place on come back list
The natural beauties are very accessible even by families with kids with no special equipment

The trail is wide and easy to follow. The trail to the lake is about 45 minutes. The water generally acquires a turquoise color.

It is a mystic place with a lot of stories. It is a natural beauty which is worthed to be visited . If you drive on an off road for about 5 km you can park near a camping place and from there you can hike for about 5 km on a spectacular forest path.

After admiring the beautiful and strange turquoise poll of water, cross the river and continue on the trail for another 20 minutes to Beusnita Waterfall. You won't be disappointed. Beautiful, easy, short hike (mind the mud if wet) to a 12 m high waterfall. The rushing waters of Nera River on the way is an added bonus.

This small lake has some of the amazing blue/green colors I have ever seen. With some imagination and good eye, a photographer might take amazing photos. The walk to Ochiul Bei is an easy path and we had the luck to be accompanied by a new breed of dogs, the touristic dog! A playful dog accompanied us from the beginning to the end , both way , being rewarded with a part of our sandwich.

I love this lake. It's small, but has such amazing colours. And it's easily accesible - needs a bit of walking to get to it, but no difficulties (good for all ages).

Bella passeggiata nel bosco, laghetto carino, ottima la trota servita nell'unico ristorantino. Nel complesso se si è in zona vale la pena di vederlo, ma non aspettatevi niente di simile ad esempio ai laghi di plitvice o di krka.

The well trodden path along the fast moving stream takes you deep into the forest to discover beautiful ponds and waterfalls. Walking quickly took a bit over an hour to get from the parking lot (food area) to the last cascade fall. Doing this alone and playing harmonica into the trees was an almost spiritual experience than rewarded with freshly fried trout, Romanian Kabbab and ice cold beer.

This lake is an amazing one in the middle of the forest, being the birth place of Bei River. Being sourced into an underground spring, this lake never freezes and it has a great turquoise color due to the combination between white limestone and green leaves.
