This is a pretty good little museum with a lot of potential. It has an eclectic group of exhibits telling the story of Nebraska. I was a little bummed that the bison exhibited was closed during my visit and I wonder if it will return or be replaced. I would have expected more on pioneers and that time period, though the photographs of the era were quite good. The Suffrage exhibit was good but seemed to take up a lot of space (basically the entire third floor). All in all though an excellent use of my $5 admission fee. You can spend a lot of time here. Too bad I was literally the only person in the museum today. People need to visit.

3 floors of displays, nice Native American artifacts such as pottery and arrowheads, I thought there would be more artifacts from pioneer days or Calvary/Forts, plenty of room, but assumed there would be way more displayed artifacts, etc., nice big doll house, nice gift shop, $5 entry fee, does have elevators to get to the 2nd and 3rd floors.

We visited specifically to view the Suffragist exhibit - it was remarkable, informative, interactive and well done. The second floor has Nebraska history with good exhibits and multiple options for pictures. Will return next time I'm in Lincoln.

Donations. 3 Floors of exhibits, some of which change from time to time. The stock car racing and woman's suffrage floors were not very interesting. The 2nd floor had many displays of Nebraska history that were worth seeing. I enjoyed the old photographs from the 1800's. Nice gift shop and friendly greeting person. The parking garage around the corner has very reasonable rates. Would have walked to the Capital from there if we had time. Challenging to get back to highway during rush hour if you are not familiar with area.

The Nebraska History Museum is a great place to go to learn about Nebraska's long and often complex history. There is no cost to admission, only a voluntary donation.

There are two museums in the downtown area. It was easy to get them mixed up. This is the one closest to the Capital and features over 10,000 years of Nebraska's history. Several exhibits display artifacts and stories about everything from comic art to aviators and politics. Only interesting for history buffs.

We like to think that you don't have to be a history buff to enjoy yourself here. We try to create an experience where anyone can find something that sparks their curiosity. That said, being a history buff certainly doesn't hurt!

The Nebraska History Museum was good but not great. I would definitely come back here to see some of the newer exhibits.

We enjoyed visiting the museum but were disappointed in how things were arranged. We expected chronological groupings and more creative, possibly interactive ways to arrange the exhibits. More could have been done to arrange exhibits and be more informative. We were left with a scattershot impression.

This is definitely the worst state museum that we have visited and we have visited a couple dozen. It is poorly laid out without much to see.
