This is a beautiful old home with lovely furnishings. We had a guided tour and were informed about not only the house and its owners, but also the outbuildings on the property. Definitely worth the time!

They have guided tours or you can tour on your own. We got the short tour which took about 15 minutes and it was great. This is a free tour and they have done a great job decorating to the time period of the home. The architecture and woodwork throughout the home is lovely. I highly recommend this stop if you're in the area.

Great house and grounds. Sign outside explains this city was "wild crazy" during wild west cattle drives.

This Victoria Style was built in 1901. It was the best residence in all of Ogallala.
We were able to visit the mansion grounds. I liked the garden.
The fireplaces were attractive, made of cherry wood with panel inserts.
The walls were huge, ten feet. Wow!
In another dwelling was the school house, also built in 1902.
Admission is free.
Worthwhile to see it!

Today we toured with our guide Dana. She was excellent it speaking of the history on the home and the area. The home is full of period furniture. Be sure to see all 3 floors and the 2 small I room buildings in the rear. Allow at least 1 hour as there are lots of things to read on all 3 floors. There is no charge but donations are welcomed. Please remember to be generous with your donation so that this beautiful home can continue to be open for tours.

Well restored house, good guide and pleasantgreeter and all around informant about area. Admission is donation only.

This is the former home of several early Ogallala families. It is beautifully furnished with period items. We had a guided tour with Trevor, who was very knowledgeable both in the tour and with our questions. It's a three-story home so you need to be able to go up and down two flights of stairs. We enjoyed it a lot! Oh, and it's free, although they welcome donations. There are two other buildings on the grounds included in the tour, a one-room school and a homesteader's cabin.

Old and creaky like me. Nice, quaint museum. Easy enough to find. Not far from boot hill so very easy to go to both.

Since I was not able to go inside I can rate this only from an outsider's perspective. Really lovely home and seems well maintained. The NE history marker in the yard gave a nice history of the area.

The last time I visited this home more than a half century ago, my great-uncle Art and his wife lived there. Not quite as I remembered it, of course, but very much as it was. There's an interesting history to this home and the city has done a remarkable work in preserving this home. The guided tour is exceptionally informative. Admission is free, but please make a contribution to the box just inside the entrance -- it's well worth it.
