Der Lift ist ein Erlebnis wert. Aber die Preise sind überteuert. Pro Person bezahlt man 18.- für hin und zurück und die Fahrtzeit beträgt ca. 1 bis 2 Minuten. Die Aussicht wird von Pfeilern reduziert. Der Wanderweg ist einfach und gut machbar auch mit Turnschuhen.

Ok, you hve to pick the perfect suny day to enjoy the view. This is a fantastic view, the elevator is just too quick, but still worth a visit

Cooler gläserner Lift, der 160 Meter steil eine Bürgenstock-Felswand hinaufführt. Wagemutige Architekten haben ihn schon vor rund 100 Jahren errichtet, seitdem ist der Lift immer wieder renoviert worden. Man hat eine mega Aussicht auf den Vierwaldstättersee. Am besten fährt man mit dem Schiff nach Kehrsiten oder mit dem Auto zum Bürgenstock-Resort. Dann folgt eine rund halbstündige Wanderung auf dem Felsenweg zum Hammetschwand Lift. Bei nebligem Wetter ist die Tour sinnlos.

Nice walk from Burgenstock, about 20 min to the lift. Beautiful lake views from the hike. The lift experience is for those not afraid of heights. Fantastic views from the top! You can hike down via a different path. Small restaurant to enjoy the views.

15 CHF to use. You can go up or down when open. Only need to experience it once. Hiking is much better for the views.

Sehr schöne Aussicht oben, aber der Preis für die kurze Fahrt mit dem Lift ist schon echt grenzwertig auch wenn es ein spezieller Bau ist.

NOTE: our review refers to hiking up to the lift from the Bürgenstock Resort.
Unless the elevator is working, getting up to Hammetschwand can be a bit of a trek upwards. Being really out of shape, it took us almost 1,5 hours from the Bürgenstock Resort to get up all the way and less than an hour to get back.
In a nutshell, the view is absolutely worth it, especially since you get to see an almost 360 degree view from the top, both towards the Luzern lake and towards the valley with Stans.

Mit diesem Lift muss man fahren, wenn man schon mal auf dem Bürgenstock ist. Umwerfende Ausicht auf die Gegend des Vierwaldstättersees.

Saliti col treno vino a Stansstad poi col bus, abbiamo fatto la bellissima Felsenweg e poi con CHF 15.- saliti con il lift. Molto bello ed esperienza bellissima

Après avoir laissé la voiture au parking, nous avons fait une marche d’environ 20 minutes sur un chemin bien tracé, et nous avons pu prendre l’ascenseur, construit il y a 102 ans. C’est 52 secondes de montée vertigineuse, pour découvrir un panorama splendide.

Bonjour, est ce qu'on peut juste prendre un billet pour monter et descendre avec l'ascenseur, sans prendre le bateau ? Je ne trouve aucune billetterie. L'idée c'est de venir à pied depuis le bord du lac, de monter en ascenseur, faire un tour par là-haut et redescendre en ascenseur. Merci ;-)

Wieviel kostet die Fanht mit dem Lift und wie lang muss man zu Fuß laufen? Wir, 8 Personen, sind auf der Rundreise, haben also nicht viel Zeit. Daher wollen wir uns möglichst näher zu diesem Lift mit Auto fahren. (Lim / Bayreuth)

No, I don't believe so. The elevator is literally at terminus of a hiking trail. It adds to the overall surprise experience in that you'll be hiking...and take a turn and see constructed elevator and ticket booth in the side of the mountain.
The closest place to park is probably the Bürgenstock Resort itself.
