The Pioneer Centre for Performing arts was developed in the late 1960ts and is on the National Historic Register. 1500 seats. Interesting place.

We purchased tickets for a Show and purchased the Bookingprotect.com. Weather prevented travel. Pioneer Center did not return our calls. When we called again and left several voice mails, we were informed that they could do nothing. Bookingprotect.com is a 3rd party SCAM. They are not even located in the US. Located in UK. There is no Customer Service representative, nor is there an inclination to escalate these issues to a Supervisor as requested. I have requested to speak to someone. The phone numbers provided have recordings, "this phone number is not assigned."
The CEO listed is Simon Mabb with 2 current jobs as Managing Director | Commercial Insurance – Protecting Assets & Minimizing Risks at Romero Insurance Brokers and CEO at Booking Protect.

While being forced to compete with all of the higher level casino facilities in the area, this is a very straight forward venue.

Escape To Margaritaville show. Arrived half hour before show no line to get in, nearly no line for refreshments. Easy to find seating area.I think it was sold out crowd. So very many people but didn't seem packed. Music was just right. Great place to see a show.

Nice venue wonderful acoustics. Easy parking in the court lot next door and you can see and hear from all the seats. Highly recommended

A beautiful rendition of the classic ballet, the music was performed by the Reno Philharmonic and A.V.A. Ballet Company. Our seats were near the front, and the acoustics were fantastic. My friend and I enjoyed it very much, and the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts was well-managed and centrally located. We'll be sure to go there in 2020 if the Nutcracker is performed there again.

The Pioneer Center for Performing Arts is a theater located in Reno Nevada is known for its distinctive gold geodesic dome roof.
The Pioneer Center was placed on the National Register of Historic places.
It has to certainly be one of Reno's most distinctive and important buildings for its size and shape.
Just from looking at the advertisements located at the center itself, and also from looking at The Pioneer Center’s website, it looks as if the Performing Arts stages a variety of shows throughout the year.
Unfortunately there were there were no shows being held while visiting Reno. I would definitely recommend you check this location out if you are spending any time in Reno. There is more to do in Reno than just gamble.

The Pioneer Center is a nice sized theater and there really isn't a bad seat in the house. The acoustics are very good. We have seen quite a few performances from dance, MOMIX, to music, Fuego, and we are looking forward to the Best of Broadway series. They have a nice bar area and for the women -- a decent number of stalls in the ladies room!

There isn't a bad seat in the house and the acoustics are excellent. We have enjoyed two productions there and have signed up for the Best of Broadway series for 2019 - 2020

My granddaughter is in the 2019 wcsd honors choir performance. Is it ok if audience attendees wear jeans? (My husband does not own any slacks.)
We do not have a set dress code so jeans are absolutely okay to wear. Thank you for asking!

How far from the Pioneer Center do you have to park? Also how close are the restaurants?

Street parking is available within a few blocks, or there is a large parking lot across the street from Pioneer Center. I never have had issues with finding a parking spot within a few blocks. There are a few restaurants within one block - Italian, Spanish, or crepes. And more restaurants about 3 -5 blocks away.
