‪A great place to explore especially with young children. No bathrooms though. Short hike/walk between all the falls. The Cow Cave was fun to explore also. Make sure you go up the trails on the sides from the main waterfall then follow the trail to the lower falls also. Just a short walk to Cow Cave. Wonderful spot to have an adventure!‬

‪Too crowded. No restrooms. Too dusty. No masks. It's been very dry and barely a trickle of water. Not worth the trip.‬

‪We went to the falls during a very dry spell in July. There was hardly a trickle and the water at its deepest was below my waist. That said, the water is clean and cool. My grandkids had a blast swimming and exploring. They found a newt, tadpoles, and frogs on the outer edge of one area. Most of the swimming hole has a sandy bottom. Of course, the next day we had a massive rainstorm! Trails are nice and have lovely boardwalks.‬

‪On the same road... Sandwich Notch which comes out in campton/Thornton ( not Cameron) in my other review.
The trail is clearly marked and less than a 10 minute meander.
There are other trails that head down the falls and great rocks to hang out get wet a bit and enjoy the sun. Great photography place!

‪Beede Falls makes for a great walk year round. While summer is a time to take a dip in the pool at the base of the main falls or slide down the rocks into smaller pools at the lower falls (water level permitting), winter is a wonderful time to get out into the New Hampshire woods. You may need snow shoes if there's fresh snow, but the trail is frequented enough that it's often packed down sufficiently to negotiate in a good pair of winter boots. The Sandwich Notch Road is closed in winter, which makes getting to Beede Falls from the main parking area a bit tricky, but the road to Mead Base is plowed, and it's a lovely walk from the parking area there to the falls. (Follow signs to Beede Falls and the Bearcamp River Trail.) It's about a half mile to the falls from there, Grippers on boots are a good idea when the going gets slick, but it's well worth the effort to see the falls encased in ice, water flowing underneath. If you like to snow shoe or cross country ski, the Sandwich Notch Road is open to recreational use in the winter, and it's a fun excursion to the falls, about a mile up the road. There's a parking area where the Notch Road and the road to Mead Base part ways. It's especially fun coming down the Notch Road on cross country skis. Snow mobiles use the road, but I rarely see one and enjoy the benefits of them packing down a trail. If you're in Center Sandwich on a nice winter day, head up Grove Street, which turns into Diamond Ledge Road and takes you right to the Sandwich Notch/Mead Base fork. Be sure to admire the view of Squam Lake at the height of Diamond Ledge. (Great fun for dogs, too!)‬

‪Beede Falls and the Cow Cavern hike are fabulous. Spending the day exploring this area was a blast. We followed the yellow trail, explored the right side of beede falls climbing up, and the lower Falls. We spread towels on the rocks and found there were areas you could slide into pools safely. Not for nervous parents that won't be comfortable letting kids climb. Bring a little first aid in case you have a scrap. Pack lunch and bug spray. Pay attention to poison ivy - 3 leaves, leave it be.‬

‪Difficult to find, but quiet and can be very private. You can actually stand under a waterfall, cool or what !!
Small area to swim for kids and dogs, under the falls and around it. Marshy around natural pool so be prepared for some mosquito's. The road less traveled comes from Thornton/Campton, a longer, very bumpy dirt road this way (I ripped off my bumper in my van..) My truck did much better and it is a quiet neat road. Coming from Sandwich was more direct, if your goal is to just get to the falls go the Sandwich route. From parking area it is just a short walk, for kids you can have fun exploring down the river with very small natural pools of water.‬

‪We visited with some regulars who highly recommended the spot for a midday brief hike. We drove up the dusty dirt roads and found the parking area, which would not have been obvious to us had we not been following people who go all the time. The short hike to the main waterfall is not hard, and we enjoyed walking in and around the falls. We then continued to the lower falls where some people were sliding down on plastic discs and otherwise enjoying the area. Then it was another short but steeper hike back to the parking. All in all, well worth it, and everyone in our group was able to do it (including several small children up to an 83-year-old).‬

‪BeedeFalls is really only for those who seek the outdoors. Hiking is great up and down the stream that includes the Falls.‬

‪To say this place is off of the beaten path is an understatement. As you ride in the pavement ends and then the road narrows before you reach the falls. It is an easy walk down t the falls. It is fairly short, but you still have to navigate roots and rocks. There are serveral pathways that shoot off. We were there in October and this summer New Hampshire had very little rain, so the falls was a fraction of what it is in the spring with the flow increased the spring thaw. It is a peaceful place with real nice options for pictures.‬
