Randonnée plus difficile que ce que disent les autres commentaires. C'est 6 km aller-retour (et non 1.5 mile comme le dit la pancarte) il n'y a pas de bout plat, c'est en montée tout le long (roches et terre en escaliers). Nous l'avons fait avec un bébé dans un sac de randonnee et c'était un bon défi, étant des habitués de randonnées. Heureusement , ce n'est pas si long (2 heures aller-retour) Personnellement, je n'aurais pas amené un enfant qui marche pour la faire.
La vue en vaut la peine, c'est super beau! Ne pas s'approcher trop près du bord!

Trailhead said 1.5 miles, but our watch and an independent hiker's both said 1.7+. Nice hike; we left before the Flume Gorge opened in the morning, and passed one group and ran into aforementioned hiker who had arrived a few minutes before us. At 1.5 miles began to wonder about the scenic vista, but finally arrived at a large bare overlook that did not disappoint. Round trip took us ~1hour 45 including a few minutes admiring the scenery.

I was excited to do this hike because it had really great reviews and people said it wasn't too challenging. I am going to be 100% honest since no one else is... this hike is a straight up incline for 2.5 miles (not the 1.5 miles I was expecting). I have done a lot of hiking but this was one of the more challenging hikes I have done due to the incline. Be aware that the trail never evens out- it is always at an incline and it is rocky and rough terrain. I would not recommend this hike for kids, the elderly, or anyone out of shape. I took many breaks due to being tired from the incline. However, the hike is very beautiful and is a great challenge for anyone who enjoys hiking. And let me talk about the view once you get to the top... WOW. It is absolutely stunning and worth the pain to get up to the top. We were there during peak fall colors and it was beautiful. Definitely pack snacks and food, you will need some fuel to re-energize you! Don't let me review scare you- it was a great hike, but be ready for a challenge!
Also, for parking just park in the Flume Gorge visitor center lot. It is free to park here. To get to the trail, you have to walk past the flume gorge entrance and you will see signs for the Mount Pemigewasset trail.

Tends to be a crowded trail during peak season as it is easy to get to and not too difficult but the views are beautiful. We brought sandwiches and a beer and had a great lunch on the top.

Fairly easy one mile hike to the top. Can be muddy so recommend against wearing your best sneakers. Beautiful view from the top. Enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours. Right next to the Flume. Large parking area. On a main road.

Da wir uns für $16 pro Person nicht in die Touristenmassen einreihen wollten, um die Flume Gorge anzusehen, entschieden wir uns für eine Wanderung auf den Gipfel des Mt. Pemigewasset. Der Weg geht vom gleichen Parkplatz ab. Es sind zwar nur etwa 2,4km, aber diese ziehen sich durch die teils große Steigung und das Klettern über Felsen ganz schön hin. Man sollte auf jeden Fall genug Trinken dabei haben. Auch wenn der Aufstieg anstrengend ist, kann man ihn als Untrainierter trotzdem meistern. Belohnt wird man mit einem tollen Ausblick. Besonders in der Herbstzeit leuchten die Wälder in der herrlichsten Farben. Hier oben steht man nur auf einem Felsen und es gibt keinerlei Geländer. Der Ort ist also nicht für tobende Kinder geeignet.

Great moderate-difficulty hike with an awesome view at the top. The trail was easy to follow but has a decent elevation change. Wear hiking boots. Pack a lunch and eat at the top while enjoying the views. Park in the upper lot at the Gorge exit and follow the bike path/trail under the highway.

Pretty simple hike (about an hour) with great views. No level walking though, just continued sight incline all the way up.

This river is great for fishing as well nature walks. We were here in late May and the weather was quite cool but what we really enjoyed was scarcity of tourists. It was very private and pristine.

hiked both trails to the top and back this time with the trail leaving from the Flume shorter by 4/10 of a mile and does not have a steep section like the path directly off Rte.3. while the longer trail is more gradual until it's last steep part it is also muddier as a lot of the run off follows the trail.in busier season it is easier to park here than at the Flume.great views of the bottom of the Francona Range Mt. Flume , Mt .Liberty and a view to the south that lasts for miles. both trails are well marked and intersect just before the top. about 3.6 miles round trip with time at the top 3 to 31/2 hrs.
