We had a chance this summer to see a play at the Summer Theatre in Peterborough. Hard to believe that a place like this even exists anymore. First, it is in the middle of nowhere. Not really close to downtown Peterborough or anything else for that matter. Once you find it, the facility is very nice and cozy - there is a small bar and food available. The theatre itself is very comfortable and well appointed. The set for our show was professionally done.
The play we saw wasn't all that great, but we'll be back next summer to give it another try.

Excellent theatre in a quaint location. We saw Cabaret—it was spectacular! Broadway quality performers. Seats are comfortable. Highly recommend!

I took my wife to see Beehive... a 60's review of music presented by 6 women. This was at their outdoor theater... and we sat in very nice and comfortable lounge chairs. The music and the singers were both 100% top-notch While this is the only show we have seen by the Players, with this production being so wonderful, I don't see how they would ever present a poor performance.

7 or 8 challenging plays per season; fine actors, directed porfessionally; a real asset to NH, both us natives, and visitors!

For years we have attended performances at Peterborough Players and many other theaters. Peterborough always puts on a top notch production including their summer musicals which is a new direction for the Players. Comfortable seats in a well pitched house. Simply, great theater at far less cost than Boston/NYC prices. We don't always understand/like the plays they choose but I will tell you it is ALWAYS well put on.

You need to take the trek to Peterborough and see a play at the Peterborough Players! The musicals the last two summers are Broadway quality! We go every summer and now they are having winter season shows which have been great!

This is my 42nd season coming. Bought a cottage in New Ipswich when I was 30 and have loved watching the Players grow and become a “destination”. The plays/musicals are amazing and the custom of knocks and candles begins and ends my summer. Talk Back on the first Friday of each play gives us a chance to connect to the actors and get their perspective on the show. The resourcefulness and creativity of the stage manager, Gus K, and the hard work of his cohort Keith Stevens have brought PP to the forefront of class entertainment. Kraig Swartz, an extremely smart and versatile actor who is has impeccable timing is a favorite actor.
The Second Company shows have been enjoyed for the last 8 years by my grandsons. They are developing a profound love of theater as did my daughter when came with us years ago to see “Our Town”.
The price of tickets is excellent, the setting deep in the woods is amazing and the productions are memorable. If you haven’t been, put it on your “bucket list”. I’m sure you’ll be back to drink from the bucket again and again.
The last picture is the brochures from Peterborough Players over the years. Guess this place has captured my heart.

A wonderful place to renew your spirit, build character, and meet fascinating and talented people. Come more than once, and if you live in the area, subscribe to a season of plays, or a season of live HD televised MET Operetta and Opera. Do come. This place is a gem!

Just when you think your lost or you missed it keep going and right where you think it’s time to turn around there it is.
Excellent barn conversion into a lovely theater.
Saw Madame Butterfly opera adaptation that was incredible. Top notch performance by all including a live orchestra. Such amazing talent all the way up in NH and on par with NYC.

We've been attending Peterborough Players productions for years and always come away amazed at the quality of the performances right here in our small town. So impressed, in fact, that our company has sponsored many shows over the years. When we have our annual client reception, we always hear from people who have not attended before and are blown away by the show.
