It it SOUL CRUSHING for me to say this but, this park is no longer worth the price of admission. I quite literally grew up in this park. We were there AT LEAST once a week. Since then, the food quality has dropped while the prices continued to climb, the upgrade of rides has been minimal, and the overall quality of the experience just isn't worth the cost. The number and quality of rides just doesn't justify the price. $60 a day for someone who has never been may bring in the tourists but, you are blocking the bread and butter of your business...the LOCALS. Please, please, PLEASE consider readjusting your ticket prices. I don't want to see a life-long family tradition disappear from NH.

It was great until we got in line for the triple haunt. We were literally first in line. Moved back to 20th, because our kids joined us. It was an absolute fiasco. People cutting nonstop with NO intervention from staff AT ALL. At least 200 people cut the line in front of us. Pathetic. NO ORGANIZATION. UTTER MAYHEM.

With better customer service and understanding of their target demographic.
Will not return. Will actively discourage others from going. Will share this experience with as many folks as possible. Save your money. Your family experience is not in their list of goals.

We went on a weekday during the summer, which should have been moderately crowded, but the park was slammed. The parking lot was full by noon, and that didn't include the many bus loads of summer camps. The result was a crazy busy park with lines lasting an hour for even the most basic rides. What's worse was the park was not managing crowds well as ride operators did not try to fill empty seats with single riders, and even rides that said single riders or double would be paired (log flume) were being sent with just 1 or 2 people. This cut ride capacity down by up to 75% for what are already low capacity rides. This is something that could easily be addressed.
On the positive side I was very impressed by the safety standards. ALL ride operators took safety seriously with double and triple checking constraints and great situational awareness. In addition the water park safety was excellent - with lots of life guards who were clearly following safety protocols.
The park would be an amaging gem if they had better crowd management (or limits).

They had great staff who really appear to enjoy their jobs! My only complaint really had to be the bathrooms that needed cleaning during the day.

Too busy! Took my son and his friends on 8/19 for my son’s birthday. Hadn’t been there since before Covid and I won’t be going back again. The water park was incredibly packed, no chairs - people sitting on the ground. Hardly any space to walk around. Couldn’t even get into the lazy river. Ride lines were very long for every ride. 6 rides in 8 hours Isn’t an enjoyable time. Years past it was such a fun place and you could go on every ride twice! So sad 😞

Went to Canobie Lake Park August 18th. The ride lines were so long that my kids wanted to leave. They had the Flume, Boston Tea Party, and DaVinci's Dream closed which further increased the wait on every other ride. I understand they are a profit operation but enough already. Limit the # of people allowed into the park so it isn't a miserable time for those there. Had I known that this was going to be our experience I wouldn't have come. Multiple people there were expressing the same complaints. I would be hard pressed to come back.

I brought 3 of my grandchildren on a Wednesday in August and the crowds weren't that bad. If you get a locker and have more than 2 people, get one of the larger lockers. We went on the Mine of lost souls, and the only thing they need to improve is the cars. I'm 5'2" and had almost no leg or foot room. The cars are extremely short, and I had to sit sideways. We spent a good amount of time in the Castaway Island part. The not a huge water slide person but the rain forest section was very refreshing, and the tidal river would have been relaxing if every child in there wasn't trying to drown every other child. Way too much horse play was allowed to go on. The food was mostly overpriced for the quality. The pulled pork mac and cheese was really good. And if you only have one dessert there, have it at the pineapple in castaway island. The pineapple strawberry swirl was heavenly. Sooo gooooddddd!!!! If you are allergic to bees, be very careful. There were bees everywhere. It was hard to eat and drink with them swarming the food and drinks. They need to have plants and hives well outside the park to occupy the bees so guest aren't constantly dodging them. Most of the lines for the rides moved pretty quickly. All in all, it was a pretty great day.

As part of a multi-park week, this was the first visit to Canobie Lake Park for my 10-year old daughter and me. We enjoyed many things about it and lamented that my other daughter, who is 7, was not with us, as we felt it was the perfect park for her.
What we liked:
* There is ample parking and it is FREE.
* The park is clean and nicely landscaped. There is plenty of shade, and the scenery/atmosphere is fantastic!
* There was a good compliment of rides, particularly flat rides, including some "old-time" rides that you don't see as much anymore in the bigger parks.
* The kiddie ride selection seemed great (although we didn't partake given my daughter's age)
* The new waterpark was nice and well-themed, even if the water in the play area was COLD. The expected expansion of the water park (hopefully with more slides) will make this area even better.
* The food was decent, and reasonably priced for this kind of venue
* The hours -- the park was open for 11-1/2 hours, more than any other park, and is one of the last parks left that stay open after dusk.
What we were less impressed with:
* The price for the park is one of the highest in the area--even with online discounts, this park is as much or more than Six Flags, which offers far more attractions and thrill rides.
* The ride queues are not well themed and are boring, boring, boring.
* The park lacks a sufficient roller coaster line up. We understand that this is partly due to the unfortunate height restriction the park has to contend with, but a proper steel loop coaster is a must need for this park. Yankee Cannonball, despite its historic charm, is just an average early-century woodie, and the Euro-fighter coaster (Untamed) is insufficient on its own to carry the load.
If this park could manage a steel looper or some sort of launch coaster than can stay below the building height limit, this park could easily become the #1 park in New England!

I went with a group of 9 people including myself. The first ride we went on was the Yankee Cannonball. It was one of the best feelings I have ever had, so many thoughts rushing through my mind at a mile a minute. "Holy s---." "That was amazing." "My stomach was in my chest!" "I saw heaven." "Terrifying." "Exhilarating." "Incredible." "Never again." "Let's go again."
That about sums up my first roller coaster ride. We didn't go again, but one trip was all I needed. I promised one of my friends beforehand that I wouldn't let him pass out, but I was too busy wondering if *I* would pass out. That first drop was what I could only describe as a sensation that was unheard of, terrifying, but amazing. I thought for a second I might faint or puke, but I just shot my hands in the air and screamed all of my fears away while embracing the unobstructed freedom I felt. Dropping that fast and that far is just the normal feeling of falling multiplied infinitely by exhilaration and thrill. So would I go again? Absolutely.
After I shook out the last of my roller coaster high, we trudged our way over to the Boston Tea Party. In short, if you ride, you get soaked. If you watch, you get soaked. But when you get soaked, it'll be worth it. I didn't go on, I just watched, but I didn't miss much. Despite being a mere spectator, I still got the full Boston Tea Party experience minus waterlogged clothes and half of a Cannonball drop. I didn't get drenched, but I got doused by a part of the splash. Regardless, it was hilarious seeing everyone screaming when they got wet. Amateurs.
To take our minds off of the fact that we were now more water than human, we grabbed a feast. I was under the impression that we'd be going on another coaster, so I didn't eat much. I took some fried dough and snuck a few fries, but other than that I got by on a water bottle. After our food, we spent at least thirty minutes, maybe an hour, trying to decide what to do next. Then we played a couple rigged carny games for some stuffed ducks, and went around to a bunch of rides only to find lines that far exceeded being worth the twenty-second ride. After wasting enough time, I split off with three of the other 8 people in our group, and we settled on doing the ferris wheel, offering up a whopping half hour of wait, give or take like five minutes. The ride took ten minutes technically, but the actual spinning only lasted somewhere around four. Still great, got some good pictures. After comforting an acrophobic Xander, we dragged ourselves to the gift shop, where I got a picture cube keychain and a shot glass. The shot glass should be coming in handy later. So Canobie Lake Park, 5/5. I'll be back in the fall.

How old do you have to be to get the senior discount?
Hi,
My family and I are taking a trip to Canobie Lake Park soon. Many of us are plus size women or bigger men. I was wondering if you could provide us your input on specifically plus size people riding the roller coasters. We have tried to do some research but can't really find specific reviews on this topic.
Thank You!

I don't think you'll have much issue. I've seen plenty of plus sizes ride the coasters without issue as long as your not super large sized you shouldn't have much trouble.
