It’s been a while since my wife and I last walked the path in Grace Lord Park to see the falls along the Rockaway River. The summer has been dry so the falls were not as dramatic as after a rain storm, but still a beautiful area. We enjoyed our morning walk in the park.

A historic walk with an amazing water fall and rapids right in downtown Boonton. Fascinating natural history and industrial history. A small kiosk had brochures for the self-guided walk. Bring a camera!

Grace Lord Park is one of the most underrated little parks that I have been to in a long time. It is such a beautiful park full of paths along the Rockaway River with a beautiful set of falls and rock formation and paths to visit.
We took a walking tour of the old Iron Works with the Boonton Historical Society and we walked through this amazing park on our way to the old ruins of the factory. It had some amazing views from the pathways of the river and falls that I never would have known that they were here if I had not been on the tour. It was such an important park of our manufacturing past.
After the tour was over I was able to visit the playground and the dammed part of the park. It is the perfect picture taking place to visit. Don't miss this little park when visiting Boonton,NJ.

We visited the Grace Lord Park on 4th of July with another family. We found a parking spot on Northside of W Main Street along with 10-12 other cars. There were no sign or marking on the street. After we took few photos of the Grace Lord park entrance, we saw 2 local Police vehicles double parked along with all those parked vehicle. I walked back to my car and asked the officer about parking. He stated you can not park here because the yellow marking ( the paint on the curb was totally faded already). So I moved my vehicle in front of the BP Gas station where there are no marking. Then the second officer advised me I should park on the side street. So I complied and parked on Essex Street. Luckily I was not inside the park, else , I may it received a parking ticket, SO BEWARE ! DO NOT PARK on W Main Street. The park walking trail was pretty short and the waterfall view was ok ( you need to climb some rocks and walk a steep slope to see the waterfall ). There are few spots in this park I don't feel so safe ( behind a warehouse). If you need to drive more than 40 minutes to this park, it's not worth it.

Within Grace Lord Park you'll find Booton Falls. I have lived in NJ for the majority of my life and never knew this falls existed until last Summer.
The park is on a main drag near the heart of town. There really isn't any parking in close proximity. I parked on a side street several blocks away my first visit. However my recent trip I was able to park on Essex Ave maybe 50 yards from the park entrance.
There is a playground for kids, as well as benches and a gazebo with a pretty nice view of the water.
There isn't really a great view of the falls from the top. I climbed down some rocks to get the views I did from both sides. Pity there's not a path that you can get a nice view if you're disabled or physically challenged. There are some nice views. Especially after a recent rain.

I recently decided to take an early morning stroll along the walk. I was pleasantly surprised how nice the park is and the waterfalls. I walked both sides of the falls and enjoyed my time spent there. I would highly recommend visiting the park for a nice stroll and the beautiful scenery. I really enjoyed my visit and would go back again .

We went there for tracking and this was more like a walk than tracking. it's good for small kids to see fall and play at play area.

Beautiful serene place with the water falling as a backdrop. Visited the park years after living in the area for decades. Great for couples and families - it's an easy walk and the falls are quite impressive for a downtown area

Direkt an der Hauptstraße. Schnell das Auto parken, aussteigen und frische Luft atmen. Der Park ist nicht sehr groß, es gibt einen Fluss mit Wasserfall, Spielplatz für die Kinder und viel Schatten unter den Bäumen.

The last time I visited a few months back I parked right on Essex Street a few feet away from the entrance. There were a few other cars parked there as well. I was there for a while to get pictures of the falls with no issues. Other times I have parked on side streets turning left on Essex onto Main Street. I went both times early in the day. I know of late most parks have been packed, but I would try the side streets.
