First Energy Park is the home park for the Lakewood Blue Claws. Not only are they very invested in their local communities, they are also great supporters of thelocal Scouting programs, allowing special nights for the kids to attend a game and have an overnight sleepover on the field with a big screen movie to finish off their special night. This year, I attended as part of the APO fraternity reunion, getting to meet many of the menwho were my husband's peers during his college days before meeting me. Everyone was very accommodating to the wide age range that needed accommodation and our buffet was tasty, plentiful and hot. The Park itself has a wide variety of food choices from typical baseball park food choices to oriental, italian, and kosher concessions to name a few Prices are reasonable; the restrooms plentiful and clean; and they alow for tailgating pre-games. There is adequate handicapped parking and reasonable parking fees. Specialty theme nights offer someting for all ages, with my favorite being an Irish night with the bagpipers. Firework nights are always impressive. Staff, security and first-aid resources are visible and very friendly. Crowd control has never been an issue in my experience. If you are travelling to their locale and they have a local game, I would heartily endorse them as a recreational destination for your family.

This is one of the nicer parks that I have seen.
Free parking,wide concourse,good field access and a well stocked and not cramped team store.
Only negative is a no backpack policy,so hard to stay organized.
Other than that great!

Minor league baseball stadiums seem to be all the same, but this one is the best. Great views from the seats, fun lawn seating beyond centerfield wall, terrific concessions, etc. This very affordable entertainment is something not to miss.

If you like to see minor baseball and possibly some future Philadelphia Phillies, this might be the place for you. The Lakewood Blueclaws are a A affiliate of the Phillies. Ticket prices are very reasonable. It's the extras where they try to get you; here's how you can save money: Keep the kids out of the gift shop and away from the concession stands. Food pricing is not much cheaper than MLB. Gift shop prices are very high. Eat before you enter the ballpark. There's a Golden Corral on Route 9 in Freehold about 10 miles northwest of the ballpark. There's also every chain place you can think of on Route 9. Keep the kids away from centerfield concourse. They have those games of chance you see in carnivals as well as a bouncy house and other kid stuff. NONE OF this is free. This is how your day can get really expensive. If you like to collect autographs, check the coaching staffs of the Blueclaws opponents, you might find former MLB players on the staff.
Overall this is a great ballpark. The new ownership is doing everything they can to generate revenue; starting with $5 parking. The smart consumer can visit this park and be smart about their money.

My uncle bought us all tickets to come down this summer during Irish night. We have been to a number of minor league ballparks in the area, and this is one of the nicest.
They definitely embrace their Jersey shore location - the outfield has some boardwalk games and lifeguard stands, which kept the kids pretty busy.
We also spent a few dollars to get each kid a baseball, so they could try and get autographs from the players. It kept them busy, although the hot sun kept them from doing it for too long.
They also have a small concert area near the third base side, with a number of tables and tasty Founders beer.
The seats are comfortable and the food was good. We had a great time, and hope to make another trip back next summer.

Every seat, every night, and every competition is a good one. The Blueclaws have got family entertainment covered with every detail. Reasonably priced food, activities for kids, and themed nights will get you addicted (whether they are winning or losing) to this most sincere Philly farm team. One of my favorite nights of the past 10 summers anywhere: Star Wars night, with light saber battles via a running story between innings and dozens of costumed characters everywhere you turned. The Claws even wore Han Solo jerseys!

First energy bank hosted a Paranormal Circus this fall and we had high hopes since we have gone to the Aqua circus run by the same group but I have to say we had a terrible time. The acts were sub par and the humor was very dry. A few points during the show there was absolute silence because no one knew what was going on. The story line was childish and there was only 3-4 good acts that had us in awe. Not doing this event again.

This is a really nice park for minor league baseball that is the home of the Lakewood BlueClaws, a minor league team for the Philadelphia Phillies. I went on a Saturday night when there was a good crowd. The stadium is an easy to access size, appropriate for the level in the minor leagues. It was some fun aspects like several huge lifeguard chairs on the outfield grassy seating area and midway games out beyond center field. It also has a miniature golf course, which I have never seen at a minor league stadium before. The team store is spacious and well stocked. It was a fun evening.

The majors could learn a lot from them. Action packed night of fun and surprises. Go often it's a perfect night something for everyone. We love thirsty Thursday and fireworks Friday and Saturday nights.

All types. Along with the standards (burger, hot dog, fries, pizza, etc.)The empanada guy is usually there. So is a grilled cheese truck. and there is also usually a teriyaki (eg, shrimp, chicken, beef). While not cheap the prices are usually not crazy.
