If you like the boardwalk in Wildwood, continue onto North Wildwood, for more shops and entertainment. The tram car runs the entire Boardwalk. Was able to ride the tram all the way back to the convention center in Wildwood, where originally entered the boardwalk for a minimal fee.

Excellent beach sand with plenty of room. Lifeguard protected ocean swimming areas. Boogie boards and flotation devices are allowed. Access to beach's is free.

Excellent experience and very good beach. Love the things to do near by and all the activities to be part of. Excellent for kids and adults.

So beautiful, very clean, and free beaches. The beach was not too packed on the weekdays, but umbrella to umbrella on the weekends. It's a long walk to the part of the boardwalk with all the "stuff".

So the beach in north wildwood has plenty of guards and lots of on ramps. You can fine a place to spread out if you are thinking. It does get crowded and some huge parties form. But generally people are nice!

Beach is way to long of a walk. Water is great. Boardwalk nice. Lots of rides for kids.
Lots of police on duty. Beach would be much better if it was like a mile shorter to the water and had wooden platforms to walk on. It is very long and the sand is rough on feet when it is very hot.

Best beach in the Wildwoods. I have been coming here since I was little. The best are between 15 and 17th all families with their chairs, toys, umbrellas and family.

So well maintained and quiet, peaceful. We enjoy it much better than Wildwood Crest. Walk to the water is only feet. So many fabulous restaurants, too.

Its not LBI just say that as teh beaches are far and dirty compared to other shore points. Its more like mud at the water then a white beach.

A nice, wide beach that gets crowded quickly, so get there early. Extra benefit to arriving and settling in early is getting to see dolphins in the surf. Feels very safe with the frequency of lifeguard stands. Port-o-johns are disgusting ~ be sure to go at your hotel or rental first!

I would agree that most are across the street. You can go to the wildwoodsnj website and view the map of many of the hotels as well as the visitors guide which could help. Entering North Wildwood and oceanfront, though, only came up with 11 matches, and I know there's more than that, so you may want to use the map and guide to see what you can find.

Last year my family and I stayed in Wildwood closer to the Convention Center. We went with my mom and young children and found the beach way too long of a walk. This year we want to stay in North Wildwood but we want to be where the beach is narrower. At what street does the beach get narrower? I know the last pier is at 25th. How is it around 22nd ave?

There is a motel on 18th called the Sahara which is very nice and newly remodeled. It is on the boardwalk and had wood planks the beach. Very nice location

I have only been to Wildwood once and it was almost 20 years ago. I am looking for a rental in North Wildwood to stay with family and would like to stay a little way from the amusement piers but still be able to easily access the boardwalk. Our children are high school/college-aged and there is also a 10 year-old. I have found some beautiful places to rent that are in the last couple of streets in North Wildwood, on the Hereford Inlet but am not sure if the beach this far down is as nice and sandy as it is a little further down. My husband and my boys have always liked to play marathon wiffle ball games on the beach so it would be nice to have room to play behind the sunbathers. Any recommendations about the area would be helpful. We stayed in the south end of Ocean City a couple of summers ago and loved the peace and quiet. The boardwalk in Ocean City was lovely but the rides were a little too tame for the kids.

I'm not too familiar with north Wildwoods beach but I can assure you that beach is one of the longest an most beautiful beaches left in the area. I can't imagine that where your rental is would be any different. When I go down for the car show in sept the beach along that long Boardwalk has alway been equally beautiful along the way. Have fun!!
