‪Great antique store! It's called Sentiment Junction... and it was a great and easy spot to get to from Washington Crossing State Park so if you are out on an antique or collectibles/flea market trip or "let's see what we can find" kind of type day... lots of other stuff around there as well too. They have a little bit of everything in here and easy parking! I am thinking about going back soon!‬

Beautiful park with lots of space to enjoy the outdoors and learn about a pivotal piece of American history. There is so much to learn here from the wonderful, informative staff, and the museum is full of artifacts and treasures from this historic time. And just across the bridge is Washington Crossing Park, which offers a very similar experience with a historic village you can tour.‬

‪Very well presented piece of U.S. history. This little gem definitely is off the beaten path, but worth the excursion. There are both paper trail/site maps, as well as info placards identifying the key locations, events, and relics. A museum (on both the NJ and PA sides of the Delaware River) provide amazing depth to the experience. There also are brick-and-mortar toilets (not port-a-loos) located at the main car park and at the two museums.
There is a lot to see, even if you dont want to get too much history. The gardens, park, and bridge overlook are very serene. The bridge over the Delaware at this location is very narrow and quite the experience to drive over as well!‬

‪A typical park. Much of it is open fields, walking trails, and picnic tables. Great place to walk. There's a small museum but it closed before I arrived. Washington began his march to Trenton here after crossing the Delaware River. Be sure to check out the shoreline to see the site of the crossing.‬

‪Great open space where George Washington likely landed during his delware river crossing. The visitor center has a small museum and movie and offers a nice respite from the heat. There's a farm house that was closed the day we visited (Sunday).‬

‪Certainly, the main attraction is related to your imagination -- and exploring land that takes you back to the birth of the United States as we know them now. You can explore old buildings or wander on paths. There are many hiking trails. And when the weather is rough, there are a lot of walkable trails.

We went at the edge of the COVID-19 shutdown and the park was not charging admission and it was quite quiet. We could have spent a lot more time here, for sure.‬

‪Rich with Revolutionary War history. Absolutely gorgeous grounds, along the Delaware River. Much history to be immersed in. Our guide, David Pierce, was so informed and really added to our experience.‬

‪Washington Crossing is a huge park where you can hike, take the kids on swings, see a museum, watch outdoor musicals during the summer, and much more. On the fourth of July, they often have a dramatic reading of the Declaration of Independence, which is the way it was distributed in 1776 --a courier might have shown up in your town to read it aloud. On Friday nights in the summer -- if you can find your way in through the side road off Bear Tavern -- you can see the Princeton Astronomer's Club roll back the roof on the observatory near the Nature Center where you can peer through two serious telescopes at objects you wouldn't otherwise see first hand. The Washington Crossing RC Club flies some incredible planes there on the weekends. One of my favorite activities is not even in the park: I once called the Washington Crossing rangers to arrange to see the Trenton Battle Monument, which has an elevator to the top. The elevator is broken now, but perhaps it will be repaired by the time you read this.‬

‪My cousin visiting from Ireland is a history buff, so we visited Washington Crossing Historic Park for a first-hand look at how America barely escaped continuing to be a British colony. Our expert guide, Pat Seabright, was well versed in the history of both battles of Trenton and the rebels subsequent victory at Princeton that gave new life to the War for Independence. With morale low, desertions rising and enlistments expiring, Washington’s daring plan was for 2,400 troops to cross the ice-choked Delaware River on Christmas night, march several miles south to Trenton, and attack the Hessians (German troops fighting for the British). This is a must visit for any serious student of American history.‬

‪What a beautiful day to relive history. Parked in the lot and crossed the street to the visitors center. Very nice facility, knowledgeable staff, clean restrooms. Handicap accessible. Gift shop. We took our own tour but there is a free guided tour every hour. Spent 40 minutes in the visitors center and another 45 minutes walking around and reading the signs.‬
