Went to see Laser Beatles last night. Enjoyed the explanation of the projection, digital, and laser methods to show images. Good sound system and mostly good selection of songs. (With the Beatles anthology, the show could have been well over the programmed hour, but wish the show ended with something from Abbey Road, like Golden Slumber, rather than Rock and Roll Music.) Mostly abstract interpretation of lyrics, which I found more enjoyable than representation of song lyrics. One great hour of entertainment and great music!

Went to see laser show of Dark Side of the Moon last night. Nice little theater and reasonably priced tickets.
Show was about an hour long. Good sound system presenting the Pink Floyd classic album. The laser light show to accompany the music varied from trite and silly to exciting and spectacular.

We are so lucky to have an actual planetarium in Ocean County. It is foolish not to take advantage of it and all the programs they offer. We have been there with adults and it is so informational. We were recently there with children and they loved it. They offer programs specifically geared to children of suggested age ranges.

I took my niece and nephew (both 7 yrs old) to the Stars from My Backyard show. Mr. Bob was entertaining, engaging & educational. The kids thought he was funny & they loved the show. It was the perfect activity for the kids and I enjoyed it too.

It has been a number of years since I went to Novins Planetarium with my kids but I visited recently for my job with a group of special needs adults. We all had a fantastic time and not only was the show great (the one about the kids going into outer space in a refrigerator box) but the staff was very kind and gracious to our clients. I will definitely return with my grandchildren!!

Stars in my Backyard was cute, geared for children.
Just be aware that the handicapped drop off area, while a shorter distance than the main ramp, is quite steep. Very difficult with a wheelchair and would equally be so with a walker. I would have liked seeing another show but it’s just too difficult. 😟

Hello,
Were you instructed to use the back parking lot by one of our staff members? That is an employee lot, and the hill is quite steep. (The handicapped symbol is for the far side of the lot and applies to the administration building) For future visits, the best drop-off area is behind building #10. The walkway is level from the drop-off to the planetarium. Please feel free to give me a call, and I can arrange to send you a campus map.

Went with my son to watch Sesame Street Big Bird One World show. EXCELLENT! They did a small laser show at the end too, which was AMAZING!!!

Awesome Sky / Laser show for kids.. Brought our Grandchildren there to view their DINOSTAR show.. Making Dinosaurs out of the Constellations we already know.. Show ends with the Rocking Laser version of Go Go Godzilla! Nothing but Happy Faces leaving the Planetarium! On the Campus of Ocean County College!

Is the planetarium handicapped accessible
Hi there- From Parking Lot #2 on Campus, there is a pedestrian walkway/ramp up to the College Mall/Planetarium. It is, however, a longish walk. We have four sets of Accessible seats reserved in the Planetarium for all shows that you can select online when you purchase tickets.
When is the planetarium open?
