Lille lokalt marked, hvor man kan se dem lave de forskellige ting på gaden. Dette gør oplevelsen meget bedre.

Sehenswert aber recht teuer. Verhandeln ist zwar möglich, aber im Vergleich mit anderen Märkten empfanden wir die Preise recht hoch.

Zeer vriendelijke mensen die hun koopwaar aan de man brengen. Ideaal om souveniertjes te kopen. Houtsnijwerk, stoffen, tassen, kleine hebbedingetjes.....teveel om op te noemen.
Beetje afdingen op de prijs wordt aangeraden maar als iets nu al zo weinig kost heb ik daar veel moeite mee en doe het niet overdreven.

Unser 1. Market in Gambia .
Hier gibt es nicht viel zu sehen.
Für Mitbringsel ganz ok.
Aber die Schule in der Nähe sollte man besuchen.
Es war schön die Freude in den Kinderaugen zu sehen.
Und eine kleine Spende hilft.

Same same really loads of different things to pick from the best part the hussle and getting the best price. You can see alot of work has gone into the crafting of the goods. Good gifts for home.

It’s always interesting to look around the craft market. Some lovely items to barter over. The only thing is that some of the stalls need to sell different things as many of them try and all sell the same.

Baqau craft market. I go there and sit down with the people and jus relax. they are real nice people there like family. they don't get much business. so you will get very good deals on jewelry and clothes. the wooden statues hand made are amazing. but jus take your time. relax and offer reasonable offers. i was there today. an amazing bird statue quite large was 7000 dallasi. jus over 100 pound uk. a chinese man offered 700 dalassi. thats just insult. it took guy 2 weeks to make by hand. not some cheap chinese reproduction. but im sure he would taken around 5000 .. opposite is beautiful gardens to visit and behind is a Baqau community centre school you must visit and try give some donations.
there is one guy from uk has transformed that school. it was jus a dirty downtrodden shack. now look at it... it still needs glass windows that can fully open. the outside base needs cementing etc etc etc

The arts and craft market has a line of shops with paintings, wood and metal carvings crafts, african prints clothings shirts, dresses, wall batik paintings with various designs, fridge magnets, scarves that can be used as souvenirs. You will definitely have to haggle for prices, once they know you're a tourist they always add on 5 times the price so I'd advice if the craft man says 3000 dalasi price it down all the way to 500 till you get to a reasonable price. It is definitely a good place to buy art work but be ready to haggle!

Bakau es una pequeña población, para mi que me gusta la fotografia, muy interesante, es un puerto de pescadores que merece la pena visitar, en toda la carretera general al lado del citado puerto se encuentran dos mercados, el de artesania y el de pescados, frutas y verduras, a mi me encanta, pero habrá gente que no le gusten los olores y algo de suciedad que existe, pero...estamos en Africa amigos mios, Hay que vivirla.

Fantastic place to go to beautiful wooden caving gorgeous . wish I could buy lots and lots of things .it's brilliant to just watch these people making these cavings
