We had a lovely time -- the view from the big ski jump is quite amazing and we had a fun time watching young kids train (and jump off) from the smaller jump. Quite impressive!

This was an amazing experience. Talk with the people who work there. They are knowledgeable and very nice. This was an interesting experience to see.

Visited on a slow Thursday afternoon. There were no athletes on site. Views were amazing and staff were very knowledgeable and eager to share information. Impressive and well-organized. A short trip to the gondola will bring you to the top of the hill. Then, there's another short walk to an elevator that takes you to the "2nd floor" which is high in the sky. Once there, you walk out to the platform. If you dare, there's about a dozen more stairs that will get you in position to look straight down the 120m jump. I will not post any photos. You should see it for yourself. Buy a ticket and take the ride to the top! We were up and down within an hour. It was awesome!! Highly recommended and only a few minutes drive from town! Friendly gift shop personnel too!

Wow what an experience.
We visited midweek so it was relatively quiet both here and at the bobsleigh track.
The view from the top of the ski jump is phenomenal.
An elevator takes you to the top and it’s well worth it.

Short walk to Gondola ride well worth the scenic view. Then elevator ride to top of Ski Jump. Be sure to take in the short document with details of he history of Lake Placid Olympic experiences.

watching the future olympian (hopefuls) was amazing. Talking with them and watching them jump was a rush. One of the highlights for sure.

It is amazing to watch the ski jumpers compete. We brought our own chairs to sit near the jump and watch them come down for a few hours. It is a long walk from the parking lot to the ski jumps, but well worth it.

It was not crowded when we were there so we had no wait for gondola to the top. It is amazing how tall it is and that skiers would want to do the jump. They have a movie at the top. You take the gondola so far and then the elevator. Negatives are that the gift shop items are overpriced and that even though we bought a ticket for the day, we were told that if we came back for the dry jump event, we would have to buy another event ticket. Other than that, nice experience

Hit this first thing in morning and it was nice and quiet. We were the onely two on the gondola and up the elevator to the top. Beautiful view. Staff were all friednly and helped with information on town access of LAke Placid

Don't miss this -- that's all I can say. Well worth the price and very unique. We even got to see a warm weather "dry" ski jumper make a safe landing.

The bob sled run opened on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 for training, I am not sure if that means it is opened to the public.

You can drive up the hill as well. There's a nice parking lot right there. Super easy.

where do you get a pass for all Olympic sites? cost? any discounts available anywhere?

There are many places throughout the village that you can get passes. We bought ours at the ski jump complex. I believe the cost was $35.00 per person. I thought that was quite reasonable for what you can do. In addition to the venues that are included with the pass, you also get discounts to other attractions with the pass.
