Pick your own bagels ? Never been allowed to wander into the baking area to select my own bagels. Grabbed a bunch of pastry too. So old school. Beautiful place.

Rockland Bakery is one of my favorite memories of my childhood. The hot bagels coming off the assembly line are EXCELLENT. Some of the best bagels in NY. A few years ago, my friend overnighted a package of challah bread, bagels, bread, bakery goods from Rockland Bakery. My family and I were in heaven. You can't find bread and bakery products of such quality in Alabama . The closest thing Alabama has to a bakery is Edgar's (or what I refer to as sugar on steroids + lard)... horrible. Now I see that I can order online from Rockland Bakery so my dream has come true. I'm in the middle of placing an online order right now. I recommend the bagels, macaroon cookies, challah bread (absolutely to die for) but everything they make is incredible and the best you'll ever eat. You'll never look at another bakery the same again after you experience the Rockland Bakery products.

Has anyone noticed that Rockland Bakery has raised their prices yet the price board has the lower prices? Well I walked in the store twice this week and on my second visit I finally asked why the higher prices and I pointed to the board. The cashier said "Don't worry, it has been one week since they raised the prices and management knows" So happened a manager or supervisor was near looking at me with a stern face. I smiled, paid for my purchased and walked away.

It's been over 35 years that I've been getting my bread from Rockland bakery. Either you can bake it yourself at home, or come get the best of the best, fresh bread, cakes, and cookies right here in Rockland!

This place is amazing... it even smells amazing but, if you are a tourist you have to know what you want before you get there. The bakery is frequented by locals who are in a hurry and know what they want. The only list of bread items is on the website so I suggest you check that out before going. The pastries and cookies are magnificent, especially the Italian assortment This is a must for food lovers!.

Fun place to shop for fresh bagels rolls breads cakes etc. at excellent prices. Was there yesterday and got some hot bagels right off the belt, and couldn’t wait to get home so I ate one in the car with nothing on it. It was fantastic. I always get the seeded rye bread which is great. Many varieties to try. I can’t buy the cakes or pies but they look really good!

Was a little concerned about going to the bakery during the pandemic. Our fears were not warranted. They have taken many precautions. You are no longer to go in the back and select your rolls, bread, etc. There are staff members fully masked and gloved to pick what you want and bring it to you at the door to the back. No longer have any concerns about going there during these trying times.

A bakery that makes bagels, bread, cookies for other businesses and for retail too. The bread options are a lot, bagels too. Everything fresh every moment. Plenty of cookies available, not necessary my taste. Many cakes and pies. Also a deli section, but some items (filled paprika), although very tasty, seem a bit pricey. Overall a great experience and well worth a visit even from further away.

It's a big production bakery. Many breads! I choose the raison,nut bread. It toasted very crispy. Also had an apple pie, which was tasty. Whenever I am on the 'other' side (from Westchester coming) of NY, I am sure to stop by this bakery.

When I read that this was the #1 thing to do in this area, I was surprised. We were astonished! You really need to go - don't miss the experience and the chance to pick up the freshest bagel you ever tasted. Straight off the conveyor, The irish soda bread was the best we have ever had.

As far as I know they do, there is a huge variety of cakes, bread and cookies and the deli has numerous choices of fresh food
Can you buy sandwiches here?

There is a deli within the bakery, They also sell dry salamis and other specialty items. I never bought any sandwiches there.
