I have been at Foothills for multiple occasions. It is clean space with suitable for the area price tag. I wish they were booking batter and more shows and events.

We recently enjoyed the Agatha Christie play "And Then There Were None" at the Upstairs Theater at the FPAC - just a wonderful venue for plays - we will definitely be on the lookout for more productions!

Enjoyed a fantastic concert while visiting Oneonta. The Foothills staff was super nice and cocktails reasonably priced. Seats comfortable and acoustics just fine. 2 things that stood out as negatives: a/c way too cold (even in July) and ridiculous lines waiting because tickets don't have assigned seats. Seats in gold & silver sections were first come, first seated so hundreds of people stood in in the heat until 6:30 when 6:00 was advertised as doors open including elderly and disabled. Foothills, please assign seats and end the wait. In hindsight, it is a small venue and everyone can see/hear just fine. We just want to ensure that our party is seated together.

This is a good-sized meeting space for a smaller group for trainings or meetings. There is a lot of flexibility for lighting and A/V, the rest rooms are convenient, and there is lots of parking in the garage across the street.

Absolutely fantastic venue. Small intimate theater. Seating, visibility and comfort are excellent. Plenty of staff to assist. Plenty of parking. Beverages available on site and surprisingly can be brought into the theater. Very clean. Sound perfect volume for venue. Will definitely return if I get the chance.

Saw the Capital Steps just now, and none of the five people in my party could hear much of it. Terrible acoustics. Get this fixed, or don't have voice. It's irresponsible.

Had a formal dinner here - very clean, one of the better places in Oneonta. However, I feel as though the staff does not get enough experience / isn't that experienced.

I attended my first show at Foothills over the weekend. I spent the entire performance craning my neck to see around the person sitting in front of me. I am an average female 5'4" and I was seated behind a woman of comparable height. I am so disappointed! I thought a brand new theater would have learned from the mistakes of older theaters. I so wanted it to be a great experience!
Another design flaw: only 4 stalls in the ladies' room. The line was so long it took the entire intermission before I could use the restroom.
The music was great. The acoustics were fine--not great but good enough. The lobby was large enough to house everyone before the show. Handicapped parking was adequate although there was too much snow on the sidewalk from the parking spot to the entrance and we had to walk in the street.
I will most likely go again for a music show. Not so sure if I would go for a theatre performance; I would not want to pay all that money and not be able to see the show.

Occasionally, they have art exhibits in the upstairs gallery. There is no charge. What can I say? I like to see artists work and here is an opportunity to drop in, spend a few minutes and enjoy what is offered!

The Civic Center, the Oneonta Daily Star, and 12 specific people, churches, and celebrities, have been withholding information (letters) from the public for over a year now in an attempt to avoid controversy and offending people in Oneonta. The letters offer solutions to various political, religious, social, economic, and medical/mental health problems that most citizens of Oneonta, New York, and even the country as a whole would willingly embrace if they only knew what was (and still is) going on. The Civic Center and Daily Star's censorship and unwillingness to release the letters to a public website, newpaper article, etc., may be legal but when they are ultimately released through another outlet of the social media, it will result in the public humiliation of all who received copies of the letters but chose to destroy them or keep them hidden from the public. Ethically, the citizens of Oneonta should be able to decide for themselves what's right and wrong, and what's true or false, not the government, not a politician, not a pastor or priest, not the news media, and not me. The citizens of Oneonta (or any other city) are not, for lack of a better word, stupid. This affects our Constitutional rights (first ammendment) and most Americans will appreciate every opportunity to exercise it even if they offend some people in the process.
