I saw my first show at the Capitol Theater. It is a grand old style theater. We had balcony center seats which provided good views of the stage. General admission on the floor would have been significantly closer if you do not mind standing. The sound and lights were very cool. There were many bars with little or no wait.

What a fabulous venerable old venue ! Definitely see a show there ! Great building , great space , awesome way they use whole room as screen ! Great place to see any show. ! A++ on everything !

Beware of the Bait and Switch with your tickets. Purchased skybox seats only to receive an Email a week later that they made a mistake and were moving my seats. 1 week now without a callback or Email.

We attended a concert at this venue and it was wonderful. The building is beautiful inside and the sound was great. We had balcony seats in the front part with only 3 rows and they were perfect. Also it is steps from the train station so very easily accessible. Can’t wait to return!!

We recently saw Kacey Musgraves at the Capitol and it was awesome! The venue is historic and intimate, plus the light show they put on with every show is amazing. You can park your car for free at the second floor metro north garage near by and there’s tons of great restaurants and bars within walking distance. Also right across the street from the Port Chester metro north station if you don’t want to drive. Lots of restaurants and shops to explore in the area before or afterwards.

The refurbished Capitol has been back in action for a few years now. It is without question my favorite venue in the NYC metro area. Plenty of metered parking is nearby as well as the train station. Theater features an immersive light show and superb acoustics.
Orchestra is sometimes GA standing or seated depending on act. Balcony is fully seated with great sound and sight lines. Shows tend to feature jam bands but even Disco makes an appearance at times. The attached bar, Garcia's, can get cramped pre-show, but offers a good selection of libations.
Worth the trip to see any band just for the venue experience.

Was here a few time and this place is great. The place is redone by the new owner, is used to be a dump when it was owned by a local slum lord. The Sound and acoustics. and the light show is amazing. Worth every dime to se a show or concert!!Plus great local places all around

Great venue to see a show. We arrived just as the show started and still got ended up with a great view of the stage. Bartenders were friendly and efficient. We lucked out and found a parking spot in the lot by the movie theater. Would definitely go back for another show.

The Cap is just about my favorite place to see a show. Perfect sound, chill staff, and bands that can play bigger places but choose to play here. And the restoration is wonderful. This view is from the rear of the balcony.

Going to the Capitol for the first time in May -- can anyone please give any information about the seats there, specifically the width and the leg room? We'll be sitting near the back of the balcony. Thanks in advance.

The seats are a generous size. The stairs are a bit steep in the balcony and not very even. Its a beautiful theatre full of history and not a bad seat in the house.

Trying to decide if it's better to stay near the Capitol theater for 2 night show in May or take the train back and forth from NYC. Any suggestions?

We stayed at the rye courtyard, which is ~5min drive to both Capitol Theater and Port Chester Metro North station (across the street from each other). Hotel was nice, good price. 50 min to grand central from that metro station (~$10 each way).
Where's the location to see a show at the capital theatre. I'm not a big fan of the orchestra seats

We love the first few rows (aa to dd) of the balcony - they are before the balcony walkway and the main part part balcony
Capital has permanent seats on the balcony but remove able seats on orchestra
