‪Nice place, most of the places are privately owned, so you need to find a cottage to rent. The lake is nice, the area is quiet, peaceful and relaxing.‬

‪Family Lake, Hidden Gem in the Southern Tier‬

‪Rushford Lake is a great family lake, only 7 miles around its shores and in the heart of the Southern Tier with plenty to offer. Antiques and small town charm are but a drive away in Angelica, Belfast and Arcade. Mount Morris and Letchworth State Park are within 40 minutes as well. Moss Lake Nature Preserve is 5 minutes away and worth a visit as well. ‬

‪My husband has been going to this lake since he was a kid. When we dated it was fun, relaxing the best! Now that we have kids and bring them it's even better. Watching them enjoy the lake and a campfire at night. I love the lake!‬

‪Labor Day Fun‬

‪We rented a small cottage for the weekend and had a wonderful time. While the weather did not cooperate on Sunday we were able to gather with family, swim in the lake, kayak, and enjoy the Rushford Labor Day Parade. Small town America at it's finest!!‬

‪Best time ever!‬

‪Was dating someone who had relatives who lived on the Lake part of the year. Had a blast in the rugged terrain and beautiful natural landscapes around the lake; as well as having fun learning to water ski, even if it meant sinking before I could stand in motion. Nothing like this remote gem of a lake; and I hope it doesn't get too crowded any time soon.‬

‪Thank Goodness for Lakes!‬

‪I'd only been to lakes or river shores when in Germany or the Italian Alps, so it was with relief that we heard of this place to head for a picnic and to chill out in the scorching hot summer of 2012. The public access part of the lake is clean and tidy with totes for changing and plenty of space to set up by the shore and let the kids splash or swim out to the many floating booms.
There were lifeguards there on both a Sunday afternoon and Tuesday so we were pleased to let the kids spend hours in the water‬
