Want to feel like you just time traveled to the 1920’s and have a luxurious spa experience in a historic building? Well the Rosevelt Baths are for you! You are brought to your own room with a massage table and bath already filled after walking down a somewhat creepy but cool hallway. Your spa attendant will explain why the water looks the way it does and what your experience will entail before leaving you to enjoy it for whatever time you’ve selected. It is a little weird at first with the odd colored water, the slightly metallic smell and the bubbles that appear when you move, but they do a good job of explaining the science behind it to help put you to ease! Each room does have a small bathroom with a sink and toilet as well. Can’t wait to come back!

A friend told me about the Roosevelt Spa so I decided to give it a try with my sister and daughter. They have a lovely, quiet waiting room while you wait to be taken to your room for a soak. We booked a 40 minute soak. A woman came and brought all of us to our individual room and they still use the original, deep, cast iron tubs (they are set 4 inches below the floor) and it is designed perfectly to lay and soak in the tub. The water is perfect temperature and there is a bathroom in each room if you need to visit at any time. I thoroughly enjoyed this soak with natural spring water that naturally bubbles. It seemed like a mini-detox so make sure to relax the rest of the day. Would definitely return to do it again!

While in Saratoga Springs, we booked a mineral bath and massage at the Roosevelt Baths & Spa. A must do!! Extremely clean, updated to reflect the old charm of the 1930s, friendly staff and a wonderful soaking tub and massage room for individual use. Relax in the effervescent natural mineral water which soothes and heals the stresses of daily life. I read some reviews that the facility was institutional, so I was hesitant before booking. Instead, I would say the spa’s updates kept true to it’s history of maximizing relaxation and overall well-being as they’ve been doing for decades. And though I had no reason to use the locker room, the updated relaxation room and individual spa rooms were lovely. Treat yourself and you’ll be glad you did!!

My wife and I had an amazing experience at the spa today. All the staff was wonderful from the front desk to the attendant and the masseuses. The soaking tubs are huge and in the same room where you get a massage, so you don’t need to walk around from one room to another. The effervescent mineral water is delightful to soak in before a massage. The whole body massage was terrific! The building has a lot of history and has been updated to reflect its original charm. They also offer a discounted rate on some weekdays- that was a nice plus. We left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated- Highly recommend!

Fantastic location to get to from 87. Less than 10 minute commute to Saratoga Race track or to the city. Great private balcony to enjoy the beautiful weather. Very clean room with updated bathroom.

Relaxing mineral bath. Excellent staff from front desk to back attendant. Luxurious soak in this special spring water. Loved the effervescent/ millions of champagne bubbles cover the body. Left feeling refreshed and will return!

Had an absolutely wonderful time. Everyone I spoke to there from making a reservation or the attendant (Colleen) was very courteous and polite. I made an appointment for only a 40-minute mineral bath. It was a last-minute decision but I called the afternoon before and was luckily able to get a spot. The waiting area is very peaceful and comfortable with a selection of tea to enjoy while you wait. They recommend you come at least a half hour early to have time to change into a provided robe and slippers and relax in the waiting area and I think it is worth it. Since this is a historic spa dating to 1935, the decor and layout is a bit more hospital-like ("taking the cure" was recommended as a medical treatment, after all) than one would expect from a modern spa, but it was still very relaxing and clean. The water and bath are slightly rust-colored from the mineral content, but once you understand that, it is easy to relax. The water from the mineral content and carbonation makes you very buoyant and you feel like you can effortlessly float in it, though you sinkk a little when you exhale. The tubs are big and deep enough that at 5'7 I can fit in it comfortably and place my feet flat on the bottom without my knee poking out. The bottom of the tub is set about 4 inches deeper than the tub so be careful getting in and out. Every person gets a private room with a tub, massage table, and small bathroom, so if you are planning to go as a group know that you will recieve your treatments separately, but you can still spend time together in the waiting area before and after. Absolutely reccomend, that it's located in a beautiful state park only addes to it's wonder.

Those baths are wild. I’ve been to lots of spas around the country. This one is unique for a few reasons . The building has a WPA project vibe, it’s not updated and I really liked that. I went during COVID with work friends who had been there before and they wanted me to experience it.
We all did a soak. The attendant pre-filled the tub and then shows you the ropes and then leaves and you have you own private room. The attendant told me I shouldn’t make the bath any hotter so when they left I immediately made it hotter because I never listen . It was too strong. The attendants know what they are talking about.
The soak was divine. Like medicinal and detoxing and wild. I’ve had a lot of different detox treatments like saunas, infared rooms, etc… this was really warm and detoxing and I absolutely loved it. It also made me start laughing ? Possibly all the minerals in the water?
My suggestions:
Come hydrated. Drink ALOT of water the night before and drink water with electrolytes the day of.
Bring really good moisturizer with you. The bath was divine and detoxing and after I wanted to put as much lotion on as possible and drink more and more water.
Know that it isn’t a new spa. Its not updated. It doesn’t have to be. There are a million generic spas like that. This one is different and unique.
You can use essential oils in that bath. You only need a few drops.
Tip the attendant. They are very cool. They know what they are talking about.

I wasn't sure that a bath could be work $50, but I was happy we had this unique experience. The staff was friendly and everything was very clean. The mineral bath was the perfect temperature and it was lightly carbonated and gave my skin a tingling feeling in the bath.

My wife and I booked mineral baths followed by a massage. Olivia at the front desk handled the original booking and was very helpful when we had to reschedule. When we arrived, we were greeted pleasantly and shown the locker rooms and the "relaxation room" where you hang out until your appointed time (IF you arrive early, as they recommend). A "spa hostess" escorted us from the relaxation room to the massage rooms. Soaking in the mineral bath in a dimly lit room was very relaxing. The massage was pretty good although not awesome.
The facility is old world with a fascinating history that was recounted by our spa hostess as she led us to the massage rooms.
Overall, this was a highly pleasant experience.

Can I shower before using the tub?

Yes you can shower and use relaxation room with very comfy couches where fruits in drinks are served. We relaxed and read magazines before we went to bath. BTW bath rooms are spacey with individual toilette rooms attach and have surround sound music.

Are there grab bars available to assist in getting into the tubs? I have dual-shoulder sensitivity.
Is one-month ahead reservation time adequate? We are visiting for a Girls Day Out with 6 of us. Some want baths, some want massages.

No there are no bars in the bath tubs, very difficult to stay comfortable, that was one thing I didn't like...

We do ask that spa guests are 16 or older for traditional spa treatments. However, we do accommodate children for nail services in our salon under supervision at all times by a parent. Please let us know if you should have any additional questions.

Our mineral baths are completely private and typically enjoyed in the nude, Robes and sandals are also provided so that you may enjoy our relaxation room as well as our men and women steam rooms before an after your treatment(s).
