What a local Gem. We stopped by on the way from Hunter mountain. My son had a bit of sore throat and honey was a great idea. We bought all different kinds of honey, bee pollen was delicious and their spreadable honey was a huge hit with my picky kids. Bread with butter and the honey was a huge hit. My son even asked for it in the morning for breakfast. And usually I have to fight with him to get him to eat honey. Fresh smoked trout was amazing too still have having cravings for it ;-). Wish this was closer I would be there every week.
The owner has been there for over 53 years and everything is locally made.
We’ll definitely be back if in the area again. Don’t miss this little Gem if you’re in the area.

Our family loved Vinnies! We bought lots of produce, honey, maple syrup, fresh mozzarella, and smoked trout. At the end of our vacation, we returned to buy more smoked trout (unbelievably delicious) and juicy peaches. Shopping at Vinnies is a true experience, where you can browse inside and outside and continually be surprised of the variety of items.
Take the opportunity to talk to Vinnie. He’s been in business for many years and can tell you everything you want to know about his products. Yes, it’s cash only, which we found out a little too late. But, one of his sons had set him up with Venmo, which we easily used to purchase our items. Vinnie doesn’t have a cash register---he uses old fashioned arithmetic to write up the purchases on a paper bag. Unique.
I agree with other reviewers that customers should avoid purchasing any dusty, old jars and questionable items, but the market is so much more than that.

Vinnie's has lots of produce advertized as local but not all of it is. Everything is also WAY overpriced. Homemade goods and canned goods have no dates on them, merely "fresh" written on the packages. Beware the canned goods as I noticed most of the jars are dirty and have rusty lids. Place is filthy so buying any of the soups or prepared food is risky. Unless you are buying plants, which are plentiful and healthy, I would say to there are better choices for true fresh baked goods and local foods.

Loved this place. Though it doesn't necessarily replace a trip to the grocery store, Vinnie's has sooo much more than we were expecting. The inside of the store is covered in jars of pickles and preserves, canned pasta sauces, maple syrup, pastries, local honey, not to mention lots of produce. Vinnie has been in the same spot for 50+ years (read: this place is cash only) and he's super friendly. We bought a freshly smoked trout from him that was rich and delicious.
If you're looking for a super sanitized shopping experience, this isn't it, but if you're looking for some delicious fresh and preserved foods and want to support local farms then I highly recommend.

This place was filthy. Moldy bread, old produce, and rusty, dusty jars. I’m confused as to how this place has gotten so many good reviews. Don’t bother with this place. There’s Story Farm a short drive away. Definitely head there instead.

Unsanitary, old,dirty, uncovered products. Flys, mouse (probably rat) droppings..UGHHHHH!!! I saw dusty jams and jars or things no dates on them. Wondering who gets payoff in the health department ???

I could spend hours here! Everything you could want and more you can find here. Fresh produce, homemade soup, baked goods, jars upon jars of anything you could imagine, eggs, milk, and on and on. I didn’t even get time to go into the back to see all the plants and flowers.
Vinny is one of a kind. What a wonderful man. I could also talk to him for hours, and he’d be happy to as well.
We need to support our local farmers, especially in these tough times.

Vinnie is the most honest farmer we’ve ever met. Very humble and honest about what he is selling to you. If something was not 100% organic, he would state it as well as things that were not grown on any of his farms. We highly recommend this place. He has everything from duck eggs, organic free range eggs, pure milk and butter, cheese, jams, coffee, homemade hot apple cider drinks (which we looooooved) etc. Go go go!

Always worth a stop. He has so many interesting jams and jellies and other meat egg and cheese products as well as bakery items.

Took a ride up through the Catskills and noticed this farm stand and decided to stop. The dried up flowers out front should have been a sign. Place was loaded with flies. Baked goods were all over but could not tell if they were fresh or not. Other things liked jarred goods could have been there for who knows how long. Bacon packages laying out in the open. Loaves of bread unwrapped out in the open. Definitely didn’t look like the pictures posted. Maybe it was nice once, but would not stop again.
