I recommend that before you go here, you read up on the history of Rockwood Hall (once a beautiful Rockefeller estate). Knowing the history, you have a better appreciation when you walk the grounds and see the ruins.
The park is along the Hudson with a grand view of the river and the Mario Cuomo bridge. It has well-marked paths that take you through the estate ruins and then along the river. Absolutely beautiful in the fall.

We had a visit to Sleepy Hollow and after a lunch and visits to the spooky sites, we took a bottle of wine and some cheese and bread to the park. It was a beautiful crisp afternoon to enjoy the park.

We've walked in the Rockefeller Park many times but recently discovered the Rockwood Hall portion of the park. It is outstanding. Great views of the Hudson. The trail is in good condition with some ups and downs and open spaces and trees and a stream. I only wish it was longer.

Nicely maintained trails and beautiful views of the Hudson River. Dogs allowed and definitely one of our favorite places to walk.

This vista overlooking the hudson river connects via the 7 bridges trail and the aquaduct leading to NYC and Ossining.
It is a great place for sleedding and there is lots of parking by the Hospital or by the North Enterance also. Wide open fields, rare trees, lots of stonework are all that is left of the mansion that used to sit here. Excelent place to fly a kite in the back, walk on the loop trail or take the 7 bridges trail up.
Take a kite, sled. There are no facilities here so bring anything you need. Roads are good gravel and drained so you can go if its wet no problem.
It is a great place for sleedding and there is lots of parking by the Hospital or by the North Enterance also. We spend over three hours with the young kids it was very nice everything was clean took care. A. Good place for hiking and biking with younger kids. Easy. Flat

Probably this not a destination in itself if you come far away. As an added attraction to a Sleepy Hollow visit, it is perfect, especially if you enjoy a good hike in the Eastern woods and along a major scenic US river. A bonus is the general area itself being loaded with historical significance.
The parking lot for the hike is by Kendal on Hudson a housing development North of Sleepy Hollow and near Phelps Memorial Hospital. You will need to study you G map carefully or ask the locals. By and large it's very accessible by car. Off the parking lot there is a trail head with a map to guide you through the trails of your choice. We chose the 2.1 miles loop leading up to the remnant of William Rockefeller property, then circling through woods and fields then down along the Hudson, enjoying the views along the way. Many benches were available for rest and soaking in the Hudson views from different angles. At times you could be startled by the rumbling of a NY Transit train passing through by the shores of the river, going upstate or returning to the city.
It was an excellent location for a leisurely hike or picnicking, capping a day of sightseeing in and around Sleepy Hollow. Highly recommended!

This park is where William Rockefeller owned his home and land. You can still see remnants of the structure. The paths take you to scenic views of the Hudson or farther back within the trees. It is a great place to walk, run, picnic, or sled in the winter. You can always find a nice quiet spot if you'd rather be by yourself too!

In beautiful Sleepy Hollow, beucolic trails are accessible year round. Every season offers new visual surprises. If you love a dose of peaceful nature, this will satisfy you. Great for walking, running, or sitting! Some trails have benches to sit and reflect on the beauty.

The park was very clean and well taken care of, and the views are incredible. Great place to sit and relax and just stare at the water, or hit a trail and take a little hike. Extremely relaxing and an enjoyable experience.

I would like to know if there are any bathrooms next to the parking lot and/or any bathrooms at all in the park.
I would also like to know if there are any water fountains to fill up or replenish a water bottle.

No, no bathrooms or water fountains. Garbage is carry in and carry out. They keep it very nice and clean!
Are the paths stroller accessible? And are you allowed to being a bike?
