What a wonderful treat! We were passing through Verona and needed a place for Sunday brunch. I went with the gluten free flatbread breakfast pizza and was thrilled with the great flavor of the crust- it was a cauliflower crust with an herbs. Absolutely delicious!
My son (not gluten free) went with the breakfast poutine- huge bowl of home fries with fried egg and hollandaise sauce. He actually had trouble finishing it!
Also- really reasonably priced!

Food was good and reasonably priced. Restaurant interior is nicely decorated, clean and cozy. Wait staff was very pleasant and helpful, we even purchased 2 bottles of wine to take home!

We had a reservation in the winery due to the Bistro being booked. These are in two separate buildings. First the cons. There was one server working in both buildings who could not possibly be that attentive. The amount of items not available on both the bar and wine menu was almost comic. " the truck didn't deliver" and that excuse was just for cheese?! We were not in a hurry, but the wait for everything was extraordinarily long. It's a Saturday, in the summer, at a winery, with tourists. Every excuse we heard was that we didn't expect this amount of people?! The Pros: the friendly personable bartender bent over backwards to check on us and make sure we were happy, and she had her hands full. Our overworked server was very gracious and pleasant in spite of the impossible assignment she had. There was no way you could fault her for our service. Where's the management in al of this chaos?The last pro was when we finally got our food for the seven of us, it was outstanding; we were all very happy. The kitchen knows what they're doing.

What took me so long to try this place? It was utterly amazing!! Our dining experience started off with Destiny as our waitress, and there was something so genuine about her. Loved her! Her recommendations were spot on. I got the Empire cauliflower pizza, which had goat cheese, apples, honey and caramelized onions. So yummy!! My husband got the Southern fried chicken with a deep fried baked potato and greens with a white gravy. He practically licked the plate clean. But the wine!! Best Riesling I ever had, even better than white wines I’ve had at wineries in Italy. So good, in fact, I bought a bottle to go. Loved the food, service, and atmosphere. This place is a “must try” if you’ve never been.

Cute place but not up to snuff. Made a reservation for lunch chon Sunday. When we showed up we found onlybreakfast was available at 1 pm. Website said whole menu available all day. We let them know there was an egg allergy and there were no zero egg options. They spoke to the chef who let us know there were no acceptions. ( they could/would not make a BLT). 20 minutes to order drinks, were told they were out of coke even though there is a whole bar. They sis manage to find one. It took an hour for my brother in law to get a coffee. My vegetarian daughter was served a plate with sausage on it, even though she informed them. Most got our meals but they forgot 2. Those days,e out when everyone was almost done. Our meals were cold and just blah. Service was not good. Owner came out and apologized and offered to give us gift certificates. We are not from the area so that didn’t really work for us. So- we got nothing.

Four of us went out for dinner, we were seated fast and our drinks came right out. The fish fry was excellent and the southern delight was the best mix of flavors. If you haven’t given this place a chance you should it was excellent food with great wines and craft beers.

My family and I did a wine tasting in the local area and this was our last stop. We started with a wine tasting at the vineyard first. It was busy when we first arrived so we waited to sit at the bar. When the group left, they cleaned the bar then we sat down. No one else was in the tasting room when we started our tasting. We started with one bar maid who never explained the wines or how the menu worked. Since we had been out all day at other wineries, we figured it out on our own. Service was extremely slow and we had to keep calling for a bar maid to get our next tasting. The service was very poor and they were not attentive to at all. We had already planned to eat at the Bistro and although service was poor at the tasting room, we stuck with our plans. The Bistro service was much better and although the waitress was new, she was attentive and came back several times despite it being busy. We ordered hot wings as an appetizer and they were crispy and tasty. They ordered the fireman’s burger and I ordered the crab cake burger. Both dishes were very good. I’d return to the Bistro but not the tasting room if you like good service.

We enjoyed a cozy lunch in the bistro which was festively decorated for the holidays. We were able to relax with our tower and enjoy a tasty meal. Servers were friendly and efficient. The tasting room and store weren’t open yet so I was unable to buy any thing to enjoy at home. Would definitely go back!

They serve six generous tastings for five dollars if you're coming in November the bistro will be open or you can also have a great lunch or dinner. You might want to call in advance if it's a large group so they can be prepared

Hi Shirley! There are Taxis available in the area, but as of right now, neither Villa Verona or the Turning Stone provide transportation. We hope to see you soon!
