‪It was pretty long and curvy. Most of it was coming from the blue trail. But I liked it a lot. I completed it.‬

‪Beautiful walk in nature ‬
العائلة • نوفمبر 2020
‪Nice variety of trails, some good for wheelchair or stroller. Peaceful and pretty even in November with all the leaves fallen. The smell of fall leaves was great. The moss and tree trunks were beautiful. Lots of Canada Geese and ducks in the waters. Glad we went ‬

‪Excellent trail‬
سبتمبر 2020
‪This beautiful trail is excellent for everyone; family, stroller, wheelchair and pet friendly.

It has amazing places for you to sit and enjoy the sites. The wild life we seen were two deer, a crane, ducks, geese and lots of birds.

Couldn't ask for a better outing on a Saturday afternoon.

They do ask for people to pay for parking so make sure you have some change with you.‬

‪Perfect nature escape‬
العائلة • أغسطس 2018
‪I was looking for a new place to hike less than 1 hour away from Ottawa, this was about 40 min drive and based on the description seemed perfect..and it was.
The park is filled with wildlife, we only saw a few deer, turtles, frogs and snakes but we were also with a bunch of very loud kids. The trials are very well marked both by marks you can spot so you won't get lost but the different trails are also color coded (and the marks) which makes everything easier. The trails are not long around 1-3 km so you can combine a few and the place is just magical filled with viewpoints, places to go into the river to cool down, swim or fish. BTW the trails are covered by the trees so its perfect even on a hot day. At the entrance, there is a parking lot (3$ a day self-paid machine), toilets and a couple of picnic tables. I highly recommend this place for kids or a short nature relaxation hike.‬

‪Beautiful accessible walk for all‬
العائلة • أغسطس 2017
‪A wonderful hike/ walk area in eastern Ontario that captures water, trees, and wildlife. Wheelchairs can easily navigate the path and there are more paths leading off this main path for families and other hikers. Dogs permitted on a leash. Great picnic area and views of Ottawa River. Canoe and kayak accessible as well. Washrooms. Stop at Penny's Fudge in Fitzroy for the best treats ever on your way out.‬

‪Trails for Everyone‬
نوفمبر 2015
‪The Morris Island Conservation Area is a beautiful location for hiking and boating (kayaks or canoes only).
There are many well marked trails to follow and enjoy the beautiful Ottawa River high above the Fitxroy Dam.
There are wooden benches to stop to rest along the walk or stop and enjoy a picnic while watching the waters flow by.
There is a causeway located on the main trail which would be wheelchair accessible if needed.
Take along your binoculars to enjoy the birdwatching features.
The tall pine, oak and maple trees will amaze you.
Beautiful to enjoy any time of year.‬

‪Impressive Place for a Family Nature Hike ‬
الأصدقاء • سبتمبر 2015
‪I was very impressed with this conservation area and will definitely be back.
Located on the shores of the Ottawa River near Fitzroy Harbour it's only a 30-45 minute drive from Ottawa and well worth the effort to get there. The trails are well maintained and marked. Trail maps are available at the facility entrance/parking area. On the day we visited we explored the Old Voyageur Trail, the Miner's Trail and took the Causeway to the end and back. The Causeway trail and parts of the Old Voyageur Trail are wide and made of well packed crushed stone and are wheel chair accessible. The trails beyond the crushed stone, though well marked, are more rugged with areas of large stones, tree roots and some mud after wet weather.
There is no fee for this attraction, but a contribution box is evident at the trailhead.
There is an indoor toilet at the parking lot area and two other outhouses are found in the trail area. A few picnic tables are available. Several walkouts from the main trails lead to scenic lookout areas. Some of these had simple benches.
The area offered mature mixed fir and deciduous forest, interesting rock formations, shoreline of small inlets and bays, wildflowers, lichens, fungi, birds, a porcupine asleep in a tree, squirrels and chipmunks and a few dragonflies. It was not crowded the day we visited.
It would make a nice destination for an nature hike with small children or with grandparents, even if some have mobility issues. ‬

‪Nature at It's Finest‬
الأصدقاء • سبتمبر 2015
‪It is a bit of a drive from Ottawa but if you are goin g to Arnprior or camping in Fitzroy Park do come here. The boardwalk is really nice and you may see some wildlife--last fall the loons were gathering for their migration and it was beautiful. It is a great place to go with strollers, walkers or wheelchairs. And truly a wonderful "nature" experience. Note: the bugs can be bad in spring and summer‬
