We had a wonderful experience with Rock Dimensions and Drew was our expert guide. We did the tower to rock experience, and other than recreational climbing walls, this was basically our first climb for adults and kids. The place was great, loved the different walls to experience and the location that Drew took us to do our climbs. Kids had an absolute blast and now want to do more. Highly recommend this place and the experience. Drew was extremely attentive, great with the kids and their momentary fearful moments and helping them conquer their own challenges. He was super patient and we cannot thank him enough, we thought our daughter wasn’t going to climb and she ended up loving it and challenged to do all 3 locations he picked. Our son couldn’t get enough of it either. Great gem place!

My wife and I are beginner climbers who had only been to indoor climbing gyms. We decided it was time to see what outdoor climbing was all about. We are so glad we chose Rock Dimensions to take us on our first trip! Everyone in the shop was very pleasant and knowledgeable as they helped us select some gear to purchase (up to this point we had always rented our gear). We were able to learn about the differences between all the harnesses and shoes, and tried various styles until we found the best fits. They even took me out to the climbing wall and let me hang out in the new harness to make sure it felt right! Once all our gear was squared away, we followed Ryan, our guide, out to the climbing location (which was beautiful) and went on to thoroughly enjoy the rest of our afternoon. Ryan is a very experienced and accomplished climber, and it showed! He was patient as he showed us techniques and guided us through several routes, each a little more difficult than the last. The last few routes Ryan had us climb were challenging and took some effort to figure out, but not so much so that they seemed impossible. Every time my wife and I needed some help, Ryan was quick to provide some good coaching. At the end of the trip, Ryan spent extra time in the shop with us, showing us more spots in the area to check out and telling us some great stories! We can’t wait to return to Boone and hang out with the folks at Rock Dimensions again!

Very fun and dedicated. We arrived with a Boy Scout Troop for a day of climbing. It was raining off and on all day. The staff (multiple guides) were cheerful all day and stayed out in the rain until about 5:00 p.m. making sure each scout got their climbs and every requirement for the merit badge. Even though we were past time, they then went into the shop and taught rope care and knots to finish the requirements. None of the guides gave any "hurry up" or "get me out of the rain" vibes. They went above and beyond to make sure each Scout had a great time and enjoyed climbing.
We just had our weekly meeting to recap the trip. All of the Scouts had a great time and wanted to go climbing again. Given the rain, this is 100% based on the cheerful attitude of the guides. Thanks!
(btw -- i observed them working with younger children while i was there with the Scouts. They were great encouraging the children to do the best they could without any shaming. A child who made it 1/2 way up the wall was praised and encouraged. As a youth leader i say good job!)

These folks create the most incredibly fun, interactive, and professional experiences you could ask for. They know how to work well with groups, individuals, families, etc. You'll have a great time, regardless of your chosen climbing location!

Rock Dimensions is a great guiding service with the climbing tower. In 2012, Carter Smith was my belayer on the climbing tower and he is a great climbing mentor for the Boone community. I have appreciated the help in choosing shoes, chalk, or books. Also, the staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and kind. A beginning climber or expert climber visiting Boone should visit Rock Dimensions to buy equipment, learn about local climbing, and to promote the success of the company.

We had a great experience rock climbing and rappelling! This was a first for our 3 kids, ages 12, 16 and 18. We've vacationed in Boone for the last several summers and are always looking for something exciting to do with the kids. We thought we'd give this a try this year, and we weren't disappointed. Our guide, Dylan, was awesome. He was so patient, kind and helpful in telling us where good foot and handholds were. He was very encouraging and accommodating to what we wanted to do/try. Everyone we encountered with the company was extremely friendly. They even let us bring our dog along with us! Would highly recommend and use again!

We have taken our grandchildren to the climbing tower for the last few years, and they always have a very positive experience. They come away feeling more confident and a great sense of accomplishment. Frankly, we are amazed at how well they do, but I am sure that is partly due to the people who work there being so encouraging and providing good instruction.

Wonderful experience! I'm always a bit hesitant about climbing walls (due to a slight fear of heights) but I decided I was up for the challenge. I've tried climbing before at different places (in the northeast where I'm from), but I think this has been my favorite experience so far! I loved how the climbing tower had multiple routes, on all different sides, that provided varying levels of difficulty. To be honest, I only went on the beginner ones - but those were a perfect level for me! Our belayer (I think her name was LeighAnn) was so kind and encouraging. She helped me feel safe by explaining how the ropes and harness and everything worked. Definitely would come again next time I'm in NC and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to a friend - especially one who has some reservations but is open to trying it!

This was an awesome trip. I went with my boyscout troop and we were able to complete the climbing merit badge in one day. The staff was all very friendly and made sure everyone felt safe and comfortable. The spot we went climbing was also very pretty and the climb was awesome.

Totally stoked for me to get on the rock with my adult son. Our guide Ian was a perfect match. He gave us 4 great pitches on a day that could not be matched during peak fall leaves. It was pure magic. Ian was an excellent teacher and guide for us. He was not intimidated by our previous knowledge and matched our needs well for this multi-pitch experience. Thank you Ian!! Additionally, all the staff was excellent from booking our trip to completing it with a feeling of tired, happy accomplishment. Thanks Ya'll. Totally worth it!!
