La spiaggia è raggiungibile dopo un percorso sterrato e un po' accidentato.
Spiaggia fantastica con sassi e rocce colorate, acqua stupenda. Lo scorso 16 settembre era frequentata da sole 7 persone.

Mare stupendo, grazie ai sassi bianchi sembra una piscina. Spiaggia molto molto tranquilla perché non facilmente raggiungibile, lunghissimo sterrato. Se vento da nord mare abbastanza calmo

Strada per raggiungerla bloccata da cancello. Prima di andarci magari chiedete a qualcuno del posto se per caso hanno riaperto. Noi non abbiamo trovato nessun'altra strada per raggiungerla. Peraltro si raggiunge da una strada sterrata con un continuo via vai di camion

Etwas abgelegen, aber mit dem normalen Mietwagen zu erreichen. An einer Stelle muss man der Beschilderung und nicht Google Maps folgen. Tolle bunte Felskulisse, sehr schönes klares Wasser. Außer uns waren nur 2 andere Personen da. Ab ca. 2:30 nachmittags hat man unter den Felsen Schatten.

Smashing place that's in the process of huge discussions, petitions and local community protests about plans by Milos Oil to turn it into a fuel station. Time to see it may be limited.
Got here by bicycle from Pollonia. Took about an hour, but lots of getting on and off because the stony, dirt track is not suitable for bikes the whole way. When I got there there was a couple who'd got there on a quad bike. They were stark naked and as I was there for the fishing with all my clothes on I stayed away from them on what is one of two beaches. This beach is the one you see in front of you when you first get down to the shoreline and it's sort of divided into two, depending on how much the sea has come up. No shade apart from the magical, colourful cliffs behind you when the sun eventually gets behind them. I didn't catch any fish, but there were reports the week earlier of mahi getting caught, which is why I made the effort. I saw a turtle and countless sea-bream and other small fish when I was snorkelling and it made my trip worthwhile.
To get to the second beach, go along the dirt road to the left before you go down to the first beach. It takes you up the cliff a little, then down to another magical place with superb rock-formations and more spazzed-out colour.
While not officially nudist as with any beach in Greece by law, it certainly gets it's name as being that way. It's far enough out of the way for it. Of course it's not a requirement to be into that sort of thing to go there, but you do have to expect to see dangly flesh.
I stayed for about two hours. It's certainly worth a visit and worth the trek, especially in low season. The water in October was deliciously warm, clear and clean, and the beach itself, though pebbly and rocky, was devoid of rubbish. The way the rock-formations are and their colours, the remoteness of it, the water-clarity and the cleanliness make it a great spot for all sorts of people who want to get up to all sorts of things.

Per chi ama camminare,è raggiiungibile a piedi da Pollonia. L'ideale è conquistare l'angolo in fondo a sinistra, con il lato roccioso molto bello a vedersi e da esplorare

La spiaggia di Kastanas si trova nella costa nord-orientale dell'isola di Milos.
Per raggiungere questa spiaggia è necessario partire da Pollonia e proseguire attraverso una strada sterrata (mal segnalata purtroppo ad un certo putno, quindi nel caso meglio avvalersi di un sano e sempre utile Google Maps).
Come tutte le spiagge che troviamo da questo lato dell'isola di Milos è consigliabile avere un 4x4 oppure un quad (per superare alcuni tratti che con una normale Panda a volte potrebbero mettere in difficoltà le sospensioni con conseguente danno del mezzo).
Appena arrivati vi sentirete in un luogo particolarissimo e molto molto suggestivo! Spiaggia di ciottoli e sabbia con grossi granelli, rocce alle spalle coloratissime con sfumature che vanno dal rosso al viola e all'arancio, nessun lettino e ombrellone e pochissimi turisti!! Ebbene si! E' un angolo di paradiso ancora inesplorato, quindi approfittatene e godetevi appieno questo luogo magico, prima che diventi troppo consociuto e troppo affollato!
L'acqua del mare della spiaggia di Kastanas è limpidissima, i suoi colori sono un tripudio di bellezza e unicità.
Non perdetevela!

Ebbene si! E' un angolo di paradiso ancora inesplorato, quindi approfittatene e godetevi appieno questo luogo magico, prima che diventi troppo consociuto e troppo affollato!
L'acqua del mare della spiaggia di Kastanas è limpidissima, i suoi colori sono un tripudio di bellezza e unicità.

Per arrivare, da Pollonia si prende la strada per Voudia e dopo gli stabilimenti minerari c’è un cartello che indica chiaramente l’inizio della strada sterrata che porta alla spiaggia. Lo sterrato è fattibilissimo, non sconnesso e non pericoloso, anche con una semplice Panda, a patto che non si abbia fretta e ai faccia tutto in prima. Per non perdersi basta seguire alle deviazioni le strade più ampie in cui si vedono più chiaramente i segni degli pneumatici. In dieci minuti si arriva a fronte mare. La spiaggia non è granché dopotutto, carina, ma non ho ritrovato l’atmosfera magica, i colori e la limpidezza descritte in altre recensioni. Può valere la pena se dopo diversi giorni a Milos si avesse voglia di uscire dai percorsi più battuti, ma non la consiglierei altrimenti.

Se amate le spiagge solitarie e selvagge, Kastanas fa per voi. Assolutamente raggiungibile in auto (Panda) - sentiero non asfaltato ma normalissimo - a 10-15 minuti da Pollonia - offre un mare splendido, rocce e sassi multicolor, e tanta quiete. La spiaggia centrale è un po' più frequentata (anche se lontana anni luce dal caos di Paliochori o Firiplaka) mentre le due spiagge laterali sono più tranquille. L'ingresso in acqua è facile, nonostante i sassi...Se il mare è un po' mosso, l'acqua a riva appare torbida a causa del fondo argilloso, ma basta allontanarsi pochi metri dalla riva che diventa spettacolare. La ricordiamo tra le più belle spiagge (ed i più bei bagni) di Milos.

Its a little rough road to arrive, even without a 4x4; then after u park take a walk to the right side of the beach where u’ll find a true gem there! The rock and a cristal clear water... whether with family or a romantic gateway its the best beach to go to.
