West Jefferson is a "must stop" when you're on the Blue Ridge Parkway. It is so very charming, especially the Honey Hole. More kinds of honey that I could ever imagine with an expert sales assistant who gave me good recommendations.
Lots of lots of different flavors to taste! You will not want to walk out of there without honey.

I love this store! They have such a great selection of products and the owners are very friendly and helpful. I highly suggest dropping by if you are in West Jefferson!

Such a great selection of wonderful honey! We got four different types of honey from Tupelo, Red Raspberry, Blueberry and the Wildflower Honey on tap. The store owner was very friendly and told us all about the honey in the store. We had a great time learning about the different varieties of honey and enjoying the hospitality. We definitely plan on going back every time we are in town. Definitely recommend everyone to stop by and visit!

I love this area. I visit as often as posssible. Sheely and her huband set me up with everything I needed to get set up for a bee keeping experiance. unfortunantly, due to Covid I was unable to visit this year. I am so looking forward to this upcoming year. I am planning to purchase some land in the area and build a vaction home so thhat I will have a lovely place for my family and friends to have a safe place to go regardless of what is going around. A friend and I went into this store today. Had a great time walking around and tasting honey..... and honey butter! The gentleman there was great to talk too.

Neat to see the bees in the store and she had a lot of really cool items. I dont see where people are saying the lady behind the counter is rude because she was perfectly polite to my husband and I. We got some delicious honey, bbq sauce, and a pretty cup. We'll definitely be back if we're in the area.

We absolutely love honey and honey based products, specifically those that are locally harvested. So we were excited to stop into this little store while in West Jefferson. It's cute, but we were not overly impressed with the offerings. We did find a nice buckwheat honey. They seem to have a lot more "commercial" type inventory. The owners were very friendly. It just wasn't quite what we expected.

This is an adorable little shop where you can sample different honeys and honey butters, and find a lot of honeybee-themed gifts. Just my kind of place. But I can never understand why a shop-owner will tell me a lie to my face just to sell something. The honey butters (Margarines, actually) are commercially manufactured (not sure where) with The Honey Hole logo on it. No problem. I have had them before and they are TO-DIE-FOR. But the shop-owner tells someone (and I asked him to repeat what he said to make sure I understood correctly) that three local beekeepers make the stuff.
Whether it is local or not is immaterial. It is great stuff. Just don't lie to me. It leaves a really bad impression and then why should I trust anything you say? Without the lie, I would give it a 5-star rating.

Not just honey. They provide samples of their butters, honey and more. It's tucked away but worth finding.
