We saw these murals as part of a guided tour of Teotihuacan with Jorge Mendoza: jorgemendozaturismo@live.com. Look him up! Reasonable prices, so knowledgeable. This was the best part of my time in Mexico City.

This museum is part of the Pyramids of Teotihuacan site, only located within 200m walk from door 1 (close to the Pyramid of the moon). The murals recovered from the site are well preserved and it is a fantastic experience to a better understanding of the history of this place. The place is quiet and fresh - for the preservation of the murals- which gives you a relief from the crouds.

Ce musée situe en dehors du site à une dizaine de minutes a pied est très agréable. Il est à l'ombre, frais et les œuvres sont très intéressantes. Bon complément de la visite du site. le prix est compris dans le billet d’entrée général.
Seul regret : pas de cafétéria.

月のピラミッドの西側にあります。
しかし敷地外なので、ケツアルパパトル・ジャガーの宮殿そばの出入り口３から外に出て、北に歩いていくと入り口があります。
公衆トイレのように見える小屋が入り口の目印です。
そこから赤褐色の敷地を進んでいくと博物館に辿り着きます。
博物館は平屋建てだが、屋上に登ることができ、なかなかユニークな造りです。
多分展示品の保護のためでしょう、館内の照明は少し暗くなっています。
テオティワカンにあった壁画などが、スペイン語英語の説明つきで展示されてます。
テオティワカンまで来てピラミッド登頂だけではもったいないです。
現在は色実がないピラミッドでも、カラフルな壁画から当時のテオティワカンの色鮮やかさを想像することができます。

De puro curiosa que soy vi los carteles del Museo y a un sol de 35 grados me caminé el trayecto desde la salida de las pirámides hasta esta joya oculta y poco promocionada.
Estábamos las dos solas con mi amiga así que todo el museo fue para nosotras. Es gratis y está muy bien armado, buen material y cuidada explicación. Una vida de mujer dedicada a la investigación de esas culturas que se ve reflejada en un museo pequeño pero que vale la pena conocer si te interesan esas misteriosas y sabias culturas

I would rather spend my time at the ruins, but the museum is interesting. Also note there is a small botanical garden nearby

Our guide, Paco de Santiago, started the Teotihuacan tour with this museum and we understand why he loves the place. The grounds are beautiful and quiet. The collection of murals are beautiful. The explanations are in both Spanish and English, which allowed us to read about them.

Imprescindible aunque no hay tanta gente que lo visita, impresionante muestra de murales que fueron recuperados y restaurados de los templos.

We toured the Museo De Los Murales Teotihuacanos today and it was very good. But I did have one question: There was one single room that was painted with entirely red walls, with a skylight overhead, and in the middle was a single oblong stone with no carvings sticking up out of the gravel. No one I asked (including our guide) knew what it was or why it was there. But an entire room was devoted to it, so presumably it was something important. Does anyone know?
