The Belper Park Local Nature Reserve is always a pleasure to wander around, plenty of trails and areas to explore, wasn't very busy on a Sunday afternoon which was surprising.

Easy to get to next to car park at the market place, lovely walk in the woods and down by the Brook, on a hill side but not to steep, enjoy.

if you want a quite walk with the dog you will have plenty of company there isnrt a lot there .some training apparatus football pitches ,no toilets or cafe ,its just a place for a quite walk

It's time for the Woollen Woods - 5th Year, and the volunteers and knitters are busy installing all their amazing creations in preparation for the official opening on Saturday 18 May - Belper Woollen Woods
Every year this event has grown, with more knitters, crocheters etc joining in and furiously making woolly creations which are hung up in the trees. This years event starts on Saturday 18 May and finishes on Mon 27 May.

The Belper Nature Reserve is a lovely slice of countryside encircled by the town, plenty of tracks to go wandering around on, very popular with dog walkers (most understand plastic bag requirement), weirdly in the 21st century no kids playing they don't know what they missing.

A great place to take your dog . We always enjoy going there , whatever the weather . Free parking as well !

We’re staying in Belper for a week and wanted somewhere to walk our little Bichon. I’m very grateful to all the immensely helpful reviews from all the locals particularly the ones who told us how to find it!
It’s quite astonishing that such a beautiful old wood is available so close to the town centre and without the Trip reviews we would have remained in ignorance.
We spent a wonderful 2 hours there earlier today. The bluebells were glorious. Thank you all.

Often walk through the woods, particularly beautiful in May as full of bluebells and also host to the Woollen Woods

Plenty of countryside to roam around, surrounded on all sides by houses, a nice oasis inside the town. But watch out for the careless dog walkers without plastic bags.

No I'm afraid not. There is some public toilets near to the co-op in Belper town though, it's about 10 - 15 minutes from the reserve
