We had such a wonderful time with Jon exploring Scolt Head Island. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. Although we were out on the water for 2 hours plus on a cold, grey day the time flew by! Both my children (aged 8 and 6) said it was the best thing we'd done all half term, I couldn't agree more.
Whole experience was really magical - such a special treat. Cannot recommend enough.

Branta Cruises is brilliant! It seemed a lot of money, but in fact, its a bargain! We met up with Jon and his small boat early in Brancaster Staithe harbour, and made for Scolt Head Island, a small island that Jon knows well, having been a warden there in the past. He knows the area like the back of his hand and was able to point out a variety of different bird species along the way. We were able to land, walk to the old wardens hut and enjoy the wonderful views. On the return journey, with time not an issue, Jon diverted a little way to identify more birds for us. It was a most enjoyable morning - and in addition he recommended a nearby coastal walk for us, which then made it a great afternoon too. Thank you Jon.

Third trip on Laura May which has become an annual birthday treat. John is so knowledgeable and friendly and he has so much time to tell you about the area and the nature. Especially keen to tell the children about the wildlife and get them involved hunting for things of interest

We had a wonderful trip to Scolt Head last weekend. It was a very personal trip. Jon is a very knowledgeable guide who has lived in the area all his life and knows the coastline and the wildlife intimately. If you really want to know the area and have a very enjoyable time there is no one better in my opinion.

Our first visit here and we had a memorable two and a half hour wildlife cruise to Scolt Island on the Laura May. We loved the landscape and enjoyed vast blue Norfolk skies on a November morning and learning so much about the area’s geography and wildlife. Thanks Jon for your guiding and skippering and for a great introduction to North Norfolk.

Fantastic early morning trip to Scolt Head Island. Myself and my 16 year old daughter had a great time. The trip was great value and John does everything he can to make your trip as enjoyable as possible. We were interested in bird watching and John made a special effort to point out any species he thought may be of interest to us. We saw many birds We have never seen before. We also learnt lots about the history of the area and about the geology of the area. John is a wealth of knowledge and a really nice man. We are already looking forward to another trip with him when we are next in the area. I cannot recommend Branta Cruises enough. If you are considering booking a trip with them dont hesitate, just do it.

Norfolk is a wonderful place, but this has topped our week - by the far the most memorable and interesting day trip so far. John took us out on the morning tide to Scolt Head Island and was extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife and history of the marsh. Unforgettable and thoroughly recommended.

Second trip with Jon, family birthday present which everyone was thrilled with.So easily arranged with Judith.
Jon is relaxed, very knowledgeable and a joy to be with.

Second family trip with Branta. As before nothing was too much trouble for John. Perfect weather and tide meant we could explore more of Scolt Head. John is so knowledgeable and as the children grow up and get more inquisitive he has so much time for them and loves sharing his knowledge

We loved our trip out with John, he was friendly, kind and very informative about the local wildlife and scenery.
The boat had ample space for us 4 adults, and John was very friendly and accommodating to our two children on the trip.
Would 100% recommend, 10/10!
